"Ugh." I groaned waking up on the floor. My body felt heavy as I turned over on the somewhat warm floor.
"Ow." A voice beside mine flinched. I opened my eyes quickly as Orion laid in front of me.
"You didn't leave?" I asked and he turned to look at me.
"I guess I didn't, I fell right after you did." He said.
"We fell?" I began to think, suddenly remembering what happened yesterday. "Oh yeah, we did that... that mana monster thing."
"Mana blood manipulation."
"I knew that."
He have a slight chuckle to what I said, and we both got up slowly. Looks like using powerful magic drains you. Since I'm only a level three, it'd be best to raise my power up.
"Larkin Lae and Badria Orion, come to the principal's tower immediately." Someone announced on a speaker, it echoed around the school.
"Looks like we're in trouble." He stretched.
We decided to walk this time, for whatever we done. It didn't take long for me to realize they were going to put us in the wrong, definitely. Still, I didn't want Orion to get in trouble for what I started, so my first goal was to keep him out of this.
"You guys realize what a mess you've made don't you?" Principal Medley was waiting for us with two mops.
"Whatever." Orion grabbed the mops, handed one to me, and dragged me off.
"That attitude will never get you a test!" He said loud enough for us to hear, he gripped my hand tighter.
Once we got to the courtyard, it was covered in gunk from the mana beast. I hadn't realized my blood had spilt that much until now. It was only my foot too!
"I'm sorry Orion, I didn't mean to get you dragged in my punishment too." I apologized.
He answered with a cold, "It's fine." while pointing towards the hose water hose.
Announcements of classes being cancelled echoed through the school yard as I walked. Once I grabbed the hose someone else tugged at the other end.
"I'm sorry! I was going to use if for cleaning." I apologized before even looking at the other tugging at it.
"It's okay, I just needed to water the flowers, if you don't mind." It sounded like a girl, but somewhat masculine.
"It-It's fine." It was a boy around my height, but his voice and body were so femininely built, it was no wonder I thought he was a girl. He watered the flowers as quickly as he could for my sake, and gave me the hose.
"Thanks... um..." I wanted to thank him but I didn't know his name.
"I'm Silas Rhea. I'm guessing you're Lae Larkin, the new girl right?" He asked.
"Yeah."
"Need some help?"
"I couldn't ask for your help too but thank you." I smiled and he smiled back.
"Then during lunch, can I join you?" He asked and I agreed, before running off with the hose. He must have been my age to have the same lunch as me, it made me excited thinking about it.
"Where'd you run off to?" Orion asked, his mop looked as if it was red goo.
"To get the hose where else?" The water from the hose rinsed his mop, and I grew a devilish smile. "Take that!" I sprayed him with hose.
"It's cold! Just you wait!" He ran after me, grabbing the hose and attacking me in return.
After being drenched in turns after that, we managed to clean the area around us without noticing. The lunch bell rang shortly after, that's when we decided to get into dry clothes and head to the cafeteria.
"L-Lae." Silas fidgeted, lunch in his hand.
"Oh yeah, Orion can he join us? I just met him today." I asked, he shrugged his shoulders and started for the halls.
"Come with us." I led him after us into our hideout.
"Wow, you guys have one too?" He sparkled asking.
"It's his really, I've only been in here a few times." I said.
"Really? I'd love to show you guys mine, but it's too small for three people. Two people max." He said, his face showing a little disappointment.
I unwrapped my sandwich, "Aw, that's too bad, it would've been cool to see it." and took a bite.
"Maybe I'll show it to-" He froze then in a panicked manner picked up his things. "A-a-actually I have to go to it now or I'll get yelled at." And crawled as quickly as he could from our spot.
"He's a cute kid, isn't he?" I made my way toward my Orion.
"I guess so, but he's... suspicious." He said.
"Suspicious?"
"Yeah? Who get's yelled at by a base?"
"Oh."
