"After he leaves, wanna sneak out with me?" Orion whispered to me handing over a piece of paper.

"Sure." I nodded with a smile and took the paper, the bottom read "342."

"Okay, starting from paragraph two. Ready?" The teacher looked up from his book uninterested. Whoever had papers separated themselves from who didn't, but I'd prefer to sit next to Orion.  So far in this classroom he was my only friend, it was fine that way though.

"Come this way." Orion tapped my shoulder as a bell rung.

"'Kay." I stood up and walked behind him, after reaching a specific point he grabbed my hand and dashed up a staircase and snuck swiftly into a room.

"O-Orion?" I looked at the desks in front of us, he quickly covered my mouth with a cold hand.

"Shh. This way." He whispered, we crouched down and walked through an empty classroom except for a small desk barricade. Crawling between the desk legs we reached a secluded area big enough for a few people.

"What's this?" I asked amazed once more at what Orion showed me.

"It's where I hide out during school. G requires us in school but not specifically in class so I waste my time here." He sat against the wall as I yawned. Being in class surprisingly made me sleepy.

"Wow really." There was a small container and a trash bag full of colored papers.

"Yeah, here. First classes make you tired, huh? I'll wake you up so you can sleep, I don't mind." He patted the spot next to him with his hand.

I crawled over there laying my head on his lap with a grin. I took his hands in mine and rubbed them together.

"W-W-What are y-you doing?" He stuttered.

"Your hands are cold, I'm warming them up. It's the least I could do since you're letting me sleep here." He took his hands away from me.

"It's fine. Just sleep." His fingers stroked through my hair. "Woah, your hair's real smooth." He said.

"Is it?"

"Didn't I just say so?"

"Oh yeah..." The sleepiness took over me and I ended up falling asleep mid-conversation.

Everything suddenly happened in front of me, a large fire started in front of me, and blood was everywhere. There was no sign of anyone except for a figure standing in the distance, it was too hard to tell who they were, but the malicious smile left me shivering. I looked down and noticed my hands were covered in blood, it sounded like a voice groaned in pain at me. What was this?

"What is?" I stopped, the scene was too confusing. "What is this..?" I reached out to see what was happening.

"Lae? You okay?" I heard Orion's voice and quickly opened my eyes. Was it... just a dream?

"Y-yeah I'm fine. W-where did you go?" I asked sitting up, a sweater was under my head. It must be Orion's.

"I went to get us lunch since it was time, I don't really know what you like though. Is this okay?" He held out a sweet sandwich to me.

"Y-yeah that's okay. I like sweet sandwiches." My dream just now left me nervous.

"Are you okay. You're trembling." Orion sat next to me, his hands weren't as cold as before.

"I-I'm fine." I lied and bit into the sandwich hoping I didn't have to answer any questions.

"If you say so." He opened his lunch and began eating, it was a bit awkward for a moment.

"Going back to sleep?" Orion asked taking his sweater and wiped dust off of it.

"No. I think I'll stay awake. " I answered, what was I doing? I finally got into the school and I'm having nightmares? I'm sure Orion would find this extremely childish of me...

"Really? Then can I test your mana?" He took out a mirror.

"Test my mana?" I stared at the mirror.

"Yeah, even though transfer magic dust is basic and easy, you still need a good amount of mana to do it and not be exhausted afterwards." He held out his hand to me.

"Oh. I see, okay." I gave my hand to him, he placed it on the mirror and it lit up.

"Uh. Wow. Mana level three? Pretty powerful." Orion stared at the mirror that started to turn blue. "Off Off." He removed my hands quickly, warning I'd get hurt if it turned to a specific blue.

"Level three? That doesn't sound very high?" I gazed at my fingers, then wiggled them back and forth.

"Out our magic scale of ten, three's pretty high. The highest kid in our class is a level two. Well he was the highest." Orion said.

"Woah, level three then? What about you? You don't look a level one to me?" I was confused, he sounded and looked stronger than what he described.

"I'm level six, would've been higher but I somewhat gave up on mana." He answered, if Orion is a level six wouldn't he be the guy with the highest level in class?

"Wow.  Level six you must be strong. That's cool." I smiled. It must not be easy to switch levels.

"I thought about it Lae, if you want to be like Aquamarine you should reach level five. There you'll take a test and if you pass the door on your ceiling unlocks and well... you're free." He explained to me.

"Oh. Really? Sounds easy." I thought about Orion. "Wait, if I'm free, couldn't you go?" I asked.

"I don't see why not, but I don't want to do anything for this worthless school." He mumbled but I am sure those are the words he said.

"Why not? I'd want to go everywhere with you, I already don't know what I would do without you." I giggled at the words, looking at Orion his cheek's a bit red.

"That so? Glad I'm wanted then." He said, he cheeks were a bit puffed but there was still no smile.

After the bell rang for the end of the school day I decided to work hard towards our birthday party. I didn't have as much time as I would like, but the closer the faster I get to enjoy the party and Orion's smile. Just the thought of it excited me greatly.
