-Beca is in her dorm, by herself-
Beca was staring at her clock, it illuminated 12:01pm, so it had officially been a minute since she last looked at her phone. She sighed. Why was this so impossible? Just leave the phone alone. She grabbed her headphones off her desk and clamped them over her ears and clicked on a random song. 'Titanium' by David Guetta came blaring through. "Of course." She said to herself in annoyance, but a slight smile was toying on her lips.
What started off as her quietly humming along to the lyrics had drastically changed into her belting the song out at full volume. No matter how hard she tried to get lost, not only in the song but also her music, she couldn't. Her eyes were quickly darting to her phone on the bed. Her fingers itched at the thought of typing a message to her favourite red head. She put her hands over her headphones trying to block out the thought of messaging her with the blare of "Bulletproof!".
The attempts were futile, her mind was on Chloe, her heart was on Chloe and her eyes were on her phone. Within seconds she was back on her bed, her headphone discarded over her keyboard, and her fingers were typing. 'Hey Beale, wanna meet up?' She then aggressively deleted the message.
"What is wrong with you? She won't want to meet you. You're an idiot Beca, forget about her." She dashed her phone onto her bed, making it bounce off her pillow into the air before landing in the middle of the mattress, and walked over to her closet. She opened it and was scanning through her clothes. Her eyes were instantly drawn to her favourite grey long sleeve top. Had this always been her favourite? She couldn't remember, what she did remember though was that this was the top she was wearing when she auditions for the Bella's.
Her first ever meeting with Chloe was at first very odd, I mean she had walked in on her whilst she was showering, and it had freaked Beca out. A lot. Then she told her about auditioning for the Bella's and as much as Beca hated he idea because according to her it was "lame", she'd actually enjoyed these past few weeks. Even with Aubrey's super controlling ass.
Her thought about the Bella's and Chloe were lost when she found she'd absentmindedly walked back over to her bed and her hands were positioned over her phone. Her finger tips were itching again, needing the release of messaging her. Just her. No one else.
"No, Mitchell you're stronger than this. Come on!" She decided that she needed to be away from the temptation and the only way of doing that was by being as far away from her phone as possible. She grabbed her laptop, putting it into her shoulder bag, stuffed her headphones in and grabbed her jacket out of her closet. Just as she was heading out the door, the phone still on the bed, she heard a ping.
Beca stopped, one foot out the door and the other in. "It's probably no one. Come on, you're going onto the quad to focus on your music." By the time she'd finished 'convincing' herself her nimble fingers were grasping the phone, clicking a button so it burst into life. The shoulder bag now discarded on the floor.
There was a message and it was off Chloe. A smile appeared of Beca's face and kept getting bigger. 'She messaged me. That means I can't suck that bad, right?' She thought. She clicked onto the message and read it: "Hey Beca, was wondering if you wanted to come over for coffee?"
She instantly hit reply and was frantically typing back. "Okay Mitchell, play it cool. Don't come across as a freak."
She sighed and finished the sentence: "Sure, coffee sounds good. Just give me 10 minutes to make myself look less of a mess and I'll be over."
The minute the message was sent she regretted it. "I sounded too clingy, too enthusiastic. Ah! You idiot!" She drummed the phone against her mouth, the thought of cancelling and saying she had forgotten about some lost assignment came into play before her phone buzzed a response.
"Okay, see you soon." Chloe had replied. With that said Beca spent the next 10 minutes running around trying to piece together something that didn't make her look like she'd spent the last 3 days locked in her room.
She'd settled on a simple black vest top, a grey shirt, her burgundy jeans, with her cute short boots, before shoving her hair into a messy pony tail and heading out the door. Her phone in her back pocket and a huge smile gracing her face.
