-Around the ice cream parlour-

"Aubrey our hour is nearly up and there is still no sign of her. What if something awful has happened to her? I don't know what I'd do with myself. It's my fault, damn it! Oh my god." Chloe fell to the floor and started to sob, for about the fifth time that evening.

Aubrey was instantly at her side, "Look, pumpkin, I know how hard this is for you. I know you would give you right arm and leg to save this girl. She is going to be fine. I promise you. Look at me, come on. We'll go back to the house and wait for the others to arrive." Aubrey helped Chloe up off the floor and linked arms with her again. Just then Aubrey's phone rung, she pulled it out her back pocket.

"Aubrey Posen." She declared.

-The abandoned swimming pool-

"Ash, do you think Beca will be okay?" Jessica had her arm tightly linked through Ashley's as they finished their search of the swimming pool. At first Jessica was anxious about searching the abandoned pool area as, "it seemed like something out of a horror movie." Ashley promised Jessica that if a zombie or mass killer was to come running towards them then she'd protect Jessica and they started their search, talking and trying to forget about the eeriness of the riff off scene.

"Yeah, I know she will be. I mean she's Beca 'Effin Mitchell Jess." The girls giggled, but were shortly cut off when Ashley's phone rang. She dug it out of her pocket.

"Fat Amy?" She questioned.

-Barden Library-

"Can we search somewhere else yet? I mean being around all these books isn't right for someone like me." Stacie called to Denise who was currently searching the various sections of the library in hope of finding the young brunette.

"I like to eat paper." Lily quietly spoke. Like usual Denise and Stacie ignored the comment and carried on looking.

"We've already checked the cafeteria, her classrooms and the girl's loos. This is the last place." Denise stated maybe a little too fiercely to the other two girls.

Just as Stacie was about to give Denise a piece of her mind her phone rang. "Hey."

-Somewhere around the campus-

The fear that Beca's dad was now feeling was threatening to consume him and force him into a breakdown. This wasn't like Beca. She hadn't disappeared completely since she was younger when she first started shutting everyone out.

'You idiot. Beca's friend, the ginger one, was right. You shouldn't have taken this away from her. She was finally starting to open up. Yes, her grades weren't improving but she was finally happy. The happiest you had seen her since she was younger. You're taking that away from her. No wonder she isn't speaking to you David. No wonder she is shutting you out all over again. Ah!'

Dr Mitchell couldn't help having a talk with himself, he needed it. His little girl was missing and it was his fault. "If anything has happened to her I'll never forgive myself." He started but was soon cut off when his phone started to buzz in his pocket.

He gripped the metal object in his hand and read the name: Beca.

'Oh my god, she's calling me. She's fine.' Beca's dad was full to the brim with thankfulness and joy now. He smashed his thumb down on the answer button and held the phone to his ear. "Beca?"

The smile lines that has appeared on his face from pure glee where now changed into a furrowed brow and creases cutting into his facial features. His eyes widened with fear and soon his phone was back in his pocket and he was off like a shot.

-The path where Beca was found-

Around ten minutes later all the parties had arrived. All of them puffing panting and red faced. Aubrey and Chloe were the first people to arrive, quickly followed by Beca's dad. A few minutes later Denise, Lily and Stacie came running onto the scene and eventually Jessica and Ashley arrived, barely breathing.

All ten faces were now focused on the small form of Beca Mitchell slumped on the floor. Each as distressed as the other. Chloe was already crying again. The ginger wanted to scoop Beca up in her arms, scream for her to wake up and to stop pretending as she was scaring everyone but Fat Amy held her back. The dingo loving Australian knew it wouldn't be right to move Beca in case they harmed her anymore.

Beca's dad was crouched down next to his daughter holding her lifeless hand in his. Tears threatened to fall but he was holding it together, he couldn't break now. His daughter needed him, she actually needed him for once and he would be damned if he didn't help her.

Stacie, who was training to become a doctor, had checked all Beca's vitals. She didn't seem in any serious danger but an ambulance was there best choice. Stacie used all she had learned so far in her course at Barden to reassure the girls, especially Chloe, and Beca's dad that there wasn't anything alarming so she was going to be fine.

Aubrey had quizzed Cynthia-Rose and Amy upon her arrival. She needed to know everything about the situation. The girls told her all they could and explained that they had called an ambulance so all they could do now was wait.

That was it. That was all they could do. Wait. Hope. Wait.
