Broken Promises?

*****(Y/N)'s P.O.V.*****

After a long night of laughter, we retired to our rooms with the exception of Zero, who refused to leave and insisted he sleep in my bed for God knows why.

The next morning I woke up to a couple of fangirl/boying teenagers. That means Aido and Tomoko who got kicked across the room by Zero and I.

As Tomoko and I were getting ready for school, after Zero reluctantly left of course, a knock was heard at the door.

"One second!" We called out in unison. Once we were both ready we opened the door finding Zero and Tomoko's crush, Jayce.

"He refused to leave. He's a little to happy for my liking." Zero said rolling his eyes as Jayce did a closed eyed smile at Tomoko and asked if she was ready to go.

"I ship Jaymoko!" I whispered in Zero's ear standing on my tiptoes to do so. That resulted in Zero and Jayce teasing me all through class because I was short.

·····After class·····

"I'm not shoooort!" I yelped as we walked to the gates for the crossover.

"Say it as many times as you want, you're still short." Zero said monotonously as always.

"Shut up Tsundere-kun!" I fake pouted watching as Zero's eyes widened and a blush spread across his cheeks. He 'tsk'ed and continued to the gates with his hair covering his face.

I giggled as Yuki holding the fangirls back came into view. I glared at the girls and they calmed down having heard about what I did to Ai earlier. Zero was still being a tsundere and wouldn't talk to me.

"Silverboy, talk to me. Come on I'm bored over here." I groaned. "Alright! Fine! I'm sorry I called you a tsundere! Now love me!" I yelled hugging him from behind. He chuckled rolling his eyes.

"I didn't expect you to give in so easily." He said turning around to hug me properly.

"Yay! He loves me again!" I exclaimed hugging his torso as his arms wrapped around my small form.

"How's the weather down there shorty?"

"I'm not short!" I yelped and turned away from him. He continued hugging me so I couldn't get away.

"When did I say you were allowed to leave?" He asked acting like I was his slave. I decided to play along.

"Y-you didn't..." I stuttered and looked down pretending to be ashamed of my actions.

"That's what I thought." Zero whispered lowly in my ear sending shivers down my spine.

'Definitely not joking!' I squealed in my head wondering what exciting things would happen in the future. That is, if Zero and I would have a future. I sighed and leaned back against him. He pressed his lips against my neck and a chorus of 'aww's broke out and he froze. Zero lifted his head and sent the fangirls a glare. They all shrieked and ran for the Sun dorms.

A few moments later, the Moon dorm gate opened to reveal a confused Hanabusa.

"Where did my lovely fans go?! I heard them a second ago!" He gasped and I giggled as Zero glared at the 'wretched bloodsuckers'.

"Sorry Hana-chan! Zero got pissed and scared them away." I said as Zero went tomato red and hid his face in my hair. Tomoko, Jayce and I laughed at him for being such a tsundere.

"Sh-shut up you idiots!" He retaliated making me giggle harder. At that point I was relying on Zero to keep me standing, but he had to be the asshole he always was and dropped me speed walking away from the group.

"Zero? What the hell? Hey! I'm talking to you!" I yelled after him, but he was clearly pissed at me for laughing at him. Yuki didn't laugh, so it's no wonder he's always had a thing for her. I'm pretty sure I just messed everything between him and I up.

I clenched my fist and put my head down in shame trying to hide the tears that had began streaming down my face. Yuki reached her hand out to place it on my shoulder in a form of comfort, but I took off away from the group just as Zero had only I was faster. My simple tears turned into sobs as I collapsed in my and Tomoko's dorm room.

I promised Zero and Yuki that I wouldn't, but I knew then not to make promises I couldn't keep.
