@MrsAvaMae: waking up in nyc like...

//

We'd been in New York all week long, and tonight was the night that Harry would not only be doing his first ever solo performance on live national television, but he'd be performing a new song as well.

I could tell that he was anxious as soon as we woke up, especially since he was just laid awake and staring at the ceiling. I turn onto my side and curl into him, which is when he breaks his stare from the ceiling and looks over at me.

"Good morning, baby," he hums, resting his hand on top of mine, which is resting on his chest.

"Morning, handsome," I mumble. "Wanna call room service?"

"Well considering I really don't wanna get up, that seems good," he chuckles. "Just order whatever. I'm not picky."

"Liar," I mumble under my breath.

"Pardon?"

I smile at him. "Nothing, babe. Do you want coffee?"

I get a little more information about what he wants before I call for room service. It's up in less than ten minutes, and Harry gets up to get it since I was only in his tee. I watch from the bed as Harry is overwhelmingly polite, like always, towards the person who brought up our food. They're gone in under a minute and Harry shuts the door behind them.

I get up on my knees and crawl over to the foot of the bed where he's standing to sort out the cart of food. He's got his left side facing me, and I wrap my arms around his shoulders and lean against him slightly. He turns his head towards me, smiling at me as he rests his hands on my arm. I reach forward and place my lips on his while moving the hand that's on his back up to his hair. He turns his body so he's facing me, not breaking our lips. His arms wrap around me, pulling me tight against his body. As his hands roam down to my butt, I can't help but smile against his lips. I keep it going a little longer, but then I pull back. He pecks my lips a few times and then sighs.

"You always know how to take my mind off things," he smirks, winking at me. I giggle and give him another kiss.

"I love you," I tell him. He rubs his hands up and down my sides and kisses my nose.

"I love you too. Shall we eat?"

"Shit, I'm fuckin' nervous," Harry mumbles from the other room. I was in the bathroom, curling my hair. I glance into the bedroom, watching as he slips his jacket over his arms. He looks up, his eyes meeting mine. "I have to get going for dress rehearsal. Glenne should be here to pick you up in about thirty minutes."

I set my curling iron down and walk over to him. I wrap my arms around him and reach up to give him a kiss. "Good luck, H."

"Thank you, Ave," he mumbles. "I'm so glad that you're here with me for this. My nerves are through the roof, but you always make me feel a little more at ease."

"I wouldn't miss this, Harry. Never in a million years. I am so proud of you."

He gives me another kiss and wraps his arms around me to pull me flat against him. His phone vibrates, reminding both of us of his ride waiting downstairs. "I'll see you later. Love you."

I tell him pretty much the same and then he's out the door. I head back into the bathroom and finish curling my hair. I finish off my makeup while I'm in there, only doing a little since I'd done most of it earlier. Once that's done, I head over to the small closet in our room where I'd hung my dress earlier. I change and then slip my shoes on while I text Glenne to see how close she is. She replies that she's about two blocks away, so I grab my jacket and start to gather everything I need into a clutch. I grab my phone and the key card to our room and then I'm out the door.
