(A//N: The picture doesn't have anything to do with this chapter but can we just take a moment and look at this art like holy crap.)

(Kageyama's P.O.V.)

It's day two of Hinata's physical therapy and they say he is doing a lot better than they thought he would. I just don't get it though. How is he doing better than they thought if he still can't do anything? It's a load of crap.

He has to go to two physical therapy sessions a day. I decide that in order to understand more about Hinata's condition that I should go to one of his sessions. I walk into Hinata's hospital room. One of the nurses are lifting Hinata up and trying to get him on his wheelchair.

She stumbles a little, pushes the wheel chair forward, and drops Hinata on to the floor instead of the wheelchair. He yells out in pain. I instantly run over to lift him up. "Are you okay? Are you okay?" I ask frantically. The last time he fell he was rushed here in an ambulance. He nods and I put him in the wheelchair. I turn to the nurse, furious.

What if he was hurt? "Couldn't you call another person to help you!?" I yell. "I'm sorry! I thought I was good!" She stammered. "What if he turned out worse than he is right now!? What if he broke something? What if-" I was cut off by Hinata, "S-s-stop it! Stop with the w-what ifs! Nothing happened, i-i-it's okay!" Hinata yells.

I bite my tongue and glare at the nurse. "I'll take him to the session." I say. She nods and I wheel Hinata out of the room.

We reach to the physical therapy room. The walk was completely silent, neither of us wanting to start a conversation. The physical therapist was waiting there. "Hey Hinata..and are you Kageyama?" He asks. " Y-yeah." "Hinata talks about you a lot. Tall... Black hair and a face that looks like you drank sour milk." he laughs a little.

I look to Hinata with hate in my eyes, but I just laugh it off with the physical therapist. " I'm Dr.Kotoko, It's a pleasure to meet you, Kageyama-kun." I shake his hand, "The pleasure is mine." I say. Dr.Kotoko whispers, "Do you mind if I use you as a bit of motivation ?" "Motivation? What do you mean?" I ask.

"Listen, all you need to do is stand on the other side of the arm bars and talk about things that he can't do if he can't walk. I think this is the right approach for your friend here." He whispers as he looks at Hinata. Hinata doesn't seem to mind us whispering, as he plays with his fingers.

I nod and make my way to the other side of the arm bars. Dr.Kotoko wheels Hinata to the beginning of the bars and Hinata pulls himself up. He uses his hands to push his feet down. "Alright Kageyama-kun, you can start now."

I take a deep breath and push down the embarrassment I was feeling. Then I say, "Hinata." He looks up at me. All of my doubt about Hinata clouds my mind and this time I just let it all out. " Do you care about volleyball anymore?" I ask. "H-huh?" Hinata stutters.

"You seem to not care about any of us at all. The whole team is here waiting for you so we can all play together again, and here you are, not even putting in the effort to walk." He looks angry" "O-ofc-course I a-am. I d-do c-care. I'm t-trying my har-rdest!" he yells. "Than show me! Show me you're taking back what the world stole from you! Show me you care!" I yell back.

Hinata's knuckles turn white from his grip on the bars. Suddenly, he takes a full step. Dr.Kotoko yells at me "Continue!" I smile. He's doing it. He just needed a push. "Are you giving up? We just started. How about one more?" I yell. Hinata grins but doesn't try to walk again. "Come on Hinata! Maybe we can find a replacement for you if you can't walk again." Hinata attempts another step but fails. His arms give up and he falls into Dr.Kotoko's arms.

I rush over to both of them. "Good job Hinata." Dr.Kotoko says with a giant smile. "Great job Hinata!" I say smiling. Hinata is breathing heavy like how he usually would when we had a race to the gym. I don't quite get why taking one step and a half would make someone so tired, but I guess it's how much effort you put into something. "You did it! You took a step. How do you feel?" Dr.Kotoko asks.

"It hurts." he says. I hug Hinata. He said that without stuttering. He's getting better. Soon he will be able to play volleyball with all of us again. "T-too t-tight " Hinata says. I instantly let go of him. "I'm sorry." I say. "Do you want to continue?" Dr.Kotoko asks. Hinata shakes his head and says, "No." Hinata is then lifted onto his wheelchair by Dr.Kotoko. As I wheel Hinata out of the room he taps my hand and asks "C-can you tak-k-ke me out-outside, I haven't s-seen what outside l-l-looks like sin-ce I woke up."

"Are you sure I can take you outside?" I ask. He looks down at his hands. "It's j-just that the w-world keeps on go-going on without m-me having to be conscious f-f-for it. It's like I-I-I don't even matter." He says. I frown. I'm too shocked by his words to even respond back to him. I start wheeling him to the exit. I open the door and the hot summer sun instantly hits me and I shield my eyes from the sun with my hand.

I wheel Hinata out and into the green grass. I don't understand why he would want to come outside when it was this hot. I look over at him about to complain about how hot it was, until I saw his face. He had a huge grin plastered onto his stupid face. He looks up into the sun and just continues to smile, that is, until a cool breeze sweeps back his hair and I am able to see his tears. I hugged him and he sobbed into my neck. It was such an entirely new feeling, like someone replaced my heart with someone else's.
