(Hinata's P.O.V)

The sound of footsteps wakes me up. A nurse walks in with a tray of food in her hands. "Morning Hinata. " she says sweetly. "Hi." I reply. The shorter the words, the less my voice trembles. She picks up the previous tray of food and puts a new one. She sighs as she examines the plate of food. "If you continue to not eat, we will have to put you back on the IV." I ignore her. I don't want to go back to using the IV but I don't feel well enough to eat.

She leaves. After my mom dropped Kageyama home last night, she didn't come back. I look at the calender on the wall. Today is Monday so everyone is in school and mom is at work. Another nurse walks in. "Hello Hinata. How are you feeling?" It hurts and is hard to talk so I just wave at her. "Are you ready for your bath?" she asks. Even if I told her I wasn't ready yet, she had a schedule to follow and I would be a pain to her. She lifts me onto a wheelchair and wheels me to the bathroom. She sits me down on a bench next to a bucket filled with water. She brings over a sponge and soap.

She starts to take off my shirt but I pull away from her. "M-m-myse-l-lf." I stutter out. She lifts her hands up in surrender. "If you need any help I'm right here." I know I'm too weak to do it myself but I don't like this. I shortly realise I can't get my hands high enough to take the hospital shirt off. I guess the nurse realised this and she quickly opens all of the buttons. The hospital shirt basically slides off of me. I start to slide my boxers off and I use my feet to get it all the way down. The nurse seems to be fed up with how long I'm taking and she pours the water over me. My hair covers my eyes and nose. She picks up the sponge before I can. "Sorry Hinata, I have a lot of things to do today. You're taking too long."

She puts some soap on the sponge and scrubs me down. She is really rough. After she is done she pours water on me again and then she dries me. I look down at my stomach while she grabs a new shirt. I start feeling my ribs that were sticking out. The nurse slides the shirt onto me and buttons the back. She wheels me back to the bed. As she puts me on the bed she says "By the way you're starting your physical therapy today. " I nod. She starts walking away and I say " T-thank y-y-you." She nods and leaves. I watch the food on the plate. I pick up a grape and put it in my mouth. As soon as I swallow, I throw up. Luckily I threw up in the garbage next to the bed and not on myself or the floor.

A splitting headache makes its way into my head as soon as I finish spilling my guts. Eating isn't worth this. I rather have the IV stuck into me and the stinging pain that comes with some air bubbles. Even though the physical therapy sounds scary, at least it is something to look forward to. Doctor..  What's his name again.. Oh- Moesashi walks into the room with nurse Eliza following close by. Nurse Eliza means more tests. I know the other nurses by faces like the one who brings food on weekdays or the nurse that comes in to check on me at midnight. "Hello Hinata, are you ready to start your physical therapy now?" Dr.Moesashi asks. I shrug because it's easier. "Okay we'll get started after we get you hooked up to the IV bags. " Nurse Eliza says.

She prepares the skin on my hand around the place where she will insert the tubes. With a quick motion she shoves it in. I wince a bit and she wraps a bandage around it, to keep it in place. Dr.Moesashi lifts me up and puts me in the wheel chair. Nurse Eliza wheels me a room labeled "Physical Therapy C202." Only one person is in the room. "Good morning Dr.Kotoko, this is Hinata Shouyou... He doesn't talk much." After saying that, she leaves. "Hello Hinata." he says with a giant grin on his face. "H-hi" I stutter.

"As she said, I'm Dr.Kotoko. I'll be the one helping you get back onto your feet." I nod. "This might be the most difficult thing you will ever do." he warns me. I shrug it off though. I've learned to walk before and it really wasn't that hard. He wheels me over to some hand rails. "Okay I'm going to help you up, but after that this is all you." He lifts me and I grab onto the rails. My arms are shaking and aching. He stands in front of me. "Okay. Come." He has his hands out in front of him, ready to catch me. I put my weight on my feet. I tried to move my legs but it was like trying to do something I didn't know how to do. Just move! Come on! Why can't I do it!?

" Hinata all I want from you today is just one step." Dr.Kotoko says. One step. Just take one step. I start forcing my legs to move. It feels like there is elephants tied to both of my legs. I start crying in pain. "Do you want to take a break?" he asks. I shake my head no. I haven't tried to move my legs since I woke up. My arms start to buckle. I can't hold up my weight anymore. Dr.Kotoko seems to notice and grabs me. "I'll give you a second. We'll move on to the next thing... We'll come back here after." He waits a while and then brings the wheelchair and puts me in it. He puts his hands under my feet. "Push your feet down against my hands." he commands. I can't even move my toes. I try anyway, but to no avail. "I c-c-an't. " I say. "You will be able to though.. Don't give up. " he says.

It's hard not to give up when you feel like you can't do anything. "Let's work on your arm strength then. " He says. I could move my arms but they really weren't ready for the work Dr.Kotoko made me put them through. I was sore, in pain, and out of breath. Nurse Eliza brings me back into my hospital room where Natsu and my mom were waiting. Instead of laying down I sat up today. It put a strain on my neck and back but I'm tired of doing nothing. "You're all sweaty." Natsu says as she laughs. I don't answer but I force a smile on my face. I can feel it wobbling though.

"Today your big brother was learning how to walk again. " Mom says kindly. "Walking is easy!" Natsu says. "Just one foot in front of the other!" She yells as she overexagerates her walk. She is still small so she wouldn't understand. Actually, if someone told me they didn't know how to walk I would laugh at them. Walking used to be so easy, almost second nature. I didn't even have to think about it.
