Wings of Fire: A True Journey [FF]

Chapter three

Rain stood there with fear, not knowing what to do. The creature starred into her eyes and growled.

"E... ...ee... ...eh... h-h-h-hi there, umm... ...wha... ...what ar-are you doing her-here. "The creature growled back at Rain with disgust. Rain knew that there where sightings of other dragons in the rainforest but no one thought it was true.

The creature sniffed Rain and circled her, all while Rain was terrified in place.

"A Rainwing named... ...Rain, princess Rain is it."

The creature spoke to Rain. Ummm... what do I, maybe run and hide wait couldn't it just find me by sniffing what do I do.

"Hi there what are you um... ...doing in the rainforest right now."

"Answer my question are you princess Rain or not!" Rain starred at it for a moment and replied "Yes, my name is Princess Rain. Why did you want to know?"

"Because I've been watching you and your tribe for nearly eight years now. OH NO!! I did it again I wasn't supposed to tell you that, any way the council just told me to kill the dragons I tell sooo, TIME TO DIE RAIN!!!!"

In a swift movement the creature leaped at Rain, teath bared and claws out stretched. Rain had to quickly move like in training class and camouflaged her scales but didn't run at all, she wanted to know about this creature but not be killed by it.

The creature sniffed around the trees and starred straight at the princess like she could see her without knowing she was there. The little dragonet dove behind a tree and leaned up against the trunck and held her breathe for dear life.

The white dragon sniffed some more and gave a weird face that said "what is that disgusting smell." Rain knew for a fact that RainWings love the smell of tropical fruit in daffodils. She loved how Mastermind helped like Fruit Bat or Exquisite, she could never remember out of the two past queens.

The creature kept sniffing the air tring to find her but couldn't and went back to its pacing. Rain peaked around the tree and watched it. After a few minutes it flew off and she followed. The creature swisted ans turned out of the rainforest making sure that nothing was following it, but someone was.

It flew of to the ocean and along the coast till it reached a little rock with a hole in it. It looked so natural that you could walk right past it without knowing. Rain walked inside to see a tunnel like the volcano tunnel, she flew through it. It felt like forever till she saw sunlight.

"wow! This place is amazing." Rain wispered as she walked camouflaged. It was the icekingdom or so she thought. It was different with the way it was formed. The mountines were higher then the rainforest trees. The snow was neck high and the sky was purple and it wasn't cold. what is this place. Rain was speachless and her scales turned yellow with excitement.

Intill that faithful moment when she was spotted "RAAAIINNWIINNNG!!!!!" Screamed another white creature. Rain froze as six more dragons flew down surrounding her. She slowly backed up to feel a sharp staff to her back and froze. Two dragon flew towards with chains, they muzzled her mouth and chained together her claws and wings.

The carried her to a large castle with clear walls and huge windows with dragons flying out of them with small bags with sleeping darts and some blades. The castle had five large pillars, all different sizes and a huge area for meetings out in the open.

They flew through a window and down a passage with the creatures stopping at the sight of a Rainwing in the castle. The stopped at a large door with dragon patterns and glowing orbs around it. The dragons pshed her inside to find an old dragon on a throne with three little dragonets running arournd screaming and playing to suddenly stop at the sight of her.

" her majesty we have found this Rainwing near the secret tunnel following one of out scouts." Said gaurd one.

The old queen looked at Rain with a happy and greeting smile and waved her tolen to signal to the guards to let her go. She was massive for the size of a normal dragon, she was even bigger the Grandeur. She had silver scaled that shined in the cold air and wings that looked like they weren't there at all and her her looked as though the hard shell the the other dragons had wasn't even there."I haven't seen a Rainwing since I was a scout myself. Its so nice to finally see one again in forty-seven years. Come sit next to me." The queen said in a old creaky voice making Rain come sit next to her.

"But you majesty she could be dangerous like her mother." Yelled the second gaurd.

"Oh hush and go patrol some more Iceland." Replied the queen in an angry voice. "Now Rain what brings you here to the island of our kind."

Rain looked at the old dragon, confused and scared."ho-how do you kn-know my na-nam-name?"

The silver old dragon looked down at her "we've been watchen her island for centuries waiting for the right moment to befriend you but with the war going on we didn't have a good chance, until now where a Rainwing has come to befriend us. Oh how rude of me, my name is Queen Snowberry and my kind of species is a Snowwing and we leave on the egde of this land called Fandiler were the other six tribes that live here are, Metalwings, Thunderwings, Groundwings, Galacticwings, Junglewings and Burnwings."

Rain sat there trying to take it all in. "Um.. can i please get a tour of this castle."

Snowberry looked down at her "of course sweety. Come little ones." As she waved her talon for the three dragonets to follow the went through a side door. Rains eyes filled with crystals.
