Wings of Fire: A True Journey [FF]

Chapter two

It was a few hours later when Rain and the others climbed threw the trees to their hut. The found Deathbringer sitting outside looking bored. He looked up at Rain when she walked up to him. Rain smiled back and went in.

Glory was talking to Queen Tsunami of the Seawings.
"Yes I know that, you dont have to say that I'm a bad queen. You know i just became queen last week as well, so you don't have to announce it. "

"I was helping you Tsunami. Plus I have been queen for ten years now, haven't I."

"THAT'S QUEEN TSUNAMI TO YOU."

Rain stood there and so did her siblings. They listened carefully with confusion on why anti Tsuni was here. Glory spotted the little dragonets a few minutes later.

"Rain, Gecko, Hazle, Mango and sliver come in please, you've all met your anti Tsuni (soo-nee) before." Said Glory while walking over to her dragonets.

Tsunami growled at Glory "I'm not their anti. I'M NOBODIES ANTI YOU HEAR ME." Glory rolled her eyes at her and pushed her kids to Tsunami. "Now I have something to tell you Glory." Tsunami announced "Riptide and I are having dragonets there are three eggs in the royal hatchery all ready."

Silver's eyes widened and turned the brightest yellow Rain had ever saw. "Mummy does that mean we get to have cousins, please please please say yes."

Glory looked down at Silver and sat down "Yes since anti Tsuni has dragonets then yes, you little ones will have cousins." Glory looked up at Tsunami and grinned while turning purple and orange. Silver gasped and started jumping all over the room and kept hugging Tsunami and thanking her.

Tsunami growled at Glory and managed to get Sliver off "ok fine you little... ...royals with have cousins but I won't bring them to the rainforest intill Riptide says they would be good. Plus i don't want them to become attached to Rainwings then they escape and I would blame it all on your mother. Do you understand me dragonets." Tsunami gleamed at the five little dragons.

Rain looked around to look for Gecko. He was nowhere to be seen. Rain scanned the hut and saw Gecko camouflaged near one of the windows shaking."Mother I think it's sun time everyone is flying to the platforms."

Glory looked down at her princess. "I suppose it is Rain. Come my Dragonets, also Tsunami, you should have some sun time as well it would really help you with you anger. Silver climb onto my back."

"Ok i guess I could do with a little break but I have to to be in the newly built Summer palace in three days. You got it." Tsunami said while mumbling something that Rain couldn't hear.

The dragons flew to one of the platforms. Glory put down Silver and told her there was a hammock in the tree growing over the platform. Rain layed down and felt Gecko's wings touch hers.

She didn't like it when other dragons touched her but allowed only Gecko and her mother to. The twin brothers spreaded out with each of having the head near the other's tail forming a circle.

Rain thought of her new cousins: are they going to all girls or all boys. I hope there's gonna be at least one girl or how will the royal line go on. Rain's mind drifted off from the wind blowing in her ear and fell asleep.

Rain woke up to a load roar. She looked around to find everyone still asleep. She walked over to Gecko and tapped him on the snout.

"Gecko, wake up I heard a load roar in the distance." Rain whispered "come on you lazy lizard, get up."

"Ok, ok I'm up. Now what do you want."

"Gecko I heard a roar like, a really load roar in the distance."

"Do I have to go. I'm tring to get some sun."

"GECKO, get up and come with me or I'll tell mother your secret crush."

"Ok I'm coming Rain. Now were did you hear it coming from."

"It was coming from the west towards the kingdom of sand." Rain pointed to towards the sand kingdom. She was finally going to go outside the rainforest.

"Ummm... Rain? Is that safe. You know, going to find out what made a load roar, it could kill us if we found it."

"Find stay here and don't tell mother that I went to go find it, saaayy.... that I went fruit gathering with my class and I won't be back in a few days. You got it." Rain starred at Gecko while turning red.

"Yes I got it Rain, but don't get yourself killed. That's my one request."

"Ok fine I won't die now bye." Rain jumped off the platform before Gecko said bye. She flew down towar-ds the trees and camouflaged. She swooped threw the trees with ease, keeeping her wings close to each other and curling her tail.

Rain could hear the roar in the distance becoming louder and louder. Rain slowed down her pace and started walking on the ground while still camouflaged. She looked around a huge tree and saw a unfamiliar dragon.

It had pure white scales with some silver tint to the end of each scale. It's wings were transparent and small crystal like rocks inside of it. It's head looked like an Icewing's but it had a white fluffy mane around it's neck and the fluff traveled down it's spine with spikes on the sides of it of it almost like an Icewing's. It's talons were a bright silver in the dim sunlight and had sharp claws but not rigged and curved but flat.

All together it looked like an Icewing hybrid. Rain stayed behind the tree watching this strange creature. It walked in circles talking to itself so quiet Rain could barely hear it. After a few minutes of watching the creature Rain thought it was time to go.

As Rain turned around the creature stopped in it's tracks and turned towards Rain. She paused and turned around to see the creature starring in her direction. Rain checked that she was camouflaged...

She wasn't

Rain froze infront of the strange creature.
