Breathing was becoming noticeably quicker in the room. The scratching at the door was not stopping, and they all feared that more monsters were about to invade their home. "What do we do!?" Isabella asked, scared to death. Isabella went over to Phineas's right side, the side without the scratch, and put his arm around her. Phineas got the hint and wrapped his arms around her on his own to comfort Izzy. "I don't know... DinnerBell, got any great ideas?" Buford asked, as panicked as everyone else.
Phineas heard the panic in all of their voices, and knew they would need a plan. SOON!!
"Everyone, follow me!! NOW!!!" Phineas said sternly. Isabella was shocked at this, as Phineas had never spoken so stern and strict. Everyone immediately listened to him, knowing that if Phineas was serious then the situation was even more so serious.
They followed as Phineas walked over in a slight limp, assumingly trying to not hurt his side even more. He grabbed through the books until he found one and opened it up. Inside, there was another combination awaiting another password to be entered.
Everyone was shocked that he had yet another secret book contraption. Not even Ferb had known there were any others..!
Phineas typed something into it, and the blank wall next to his brother's bed opened up to a dark blue slide. He jumped off of his bed, and in doing so, grunting slightly as he landed. He walked over in his limp and sat at the slide. "Coming?" He asked. Ferb looked at his brother with concern when he saw how tired Phineas was beginning to look. Then he began to slide down. All of the others followed him, wondering where they were being taken to on the slide.
They ended up landing on a large cushion in a room. Phineas landed first with a yelp and a wince. The others heard him right before they landed on the cushion as well.
Everybody landed in a dog-pile. Then, they heard a sssssssst from above, as the tunnel closed and it looked like nothing was there. No door. nothing. A moment passed before they all got themselves situated and out from under each other. Then they all looked to Phineas, who was standing in front of them watching them.
"Okay everyone, this... WAS my secret room..." He said hesitantly. Ferb looked around the room silently, amazed at what his brother had been hiding.
They were sitting on a large corner couch in the corner of the room. It had a shiny golden frame, and the cushion was bright red and silky soft. Then, to the corner to the left of the room there was blueprints neatly placed all up the wall, and a box full of neatly-placed rolled up blueprints right in the corner. On the wall between the two corners was covered in framed pictures of Phineas and his friends and his family.
In the corner opposite of them was a king sized bed. Again, It had a shiny golden frame and an assumed silky vibrant red bed sheet. But the bed looked like that of a king, with golden pillars at the corners attached to a roof of the bed and see-through red fabrics draping down over it in certain places.
On that wall, there was a large 10-by-5 foot map of all of the Tri-State area near the other corner. There was bare wall just to the right of the bed, minus the golden sidetable with a red top and red drawers. The map has red pins, yellow pins, blue pins, and orange pins sticking in it. Then, in the last corner, there was a large TV on the wall and a table with 6 chairs, with the same colors as all the other furniture. The table was completely gold, with beautiful vibrant red swirls only at the tabletop. The chairs had a gold frame as well, with a comfy looking bright red back and seat of the chair. The walls were all grey, the ceiling as well. The floor was carpeted with a similar print as the tabletop. It was gold with red swirly designs on it.
Ferb looked to his brother and watched in silent worry as Phineas's eyes began to slowly and unintentionally fall low. Too low, and his knees were kinda giving out. Once Ferb saw his legs give out, he ran to catch his brother. Ferb caught Phineas from behind, holding him up by under his arms as Mom ran over.
Mom grabbed Phineas from Ferb and held him. "I think he passed out from... From blood-loss... B-but there's nothing we can do to stop him from bleeding..." Mom said, her eyes beginning to fill with tears now.
Ferb looked to Phineas's hand, realizing that Phineas was still holding the blueprint. Ferb retrieved it from his only brother's hand and opened it. It was a blueprint for a safe-room. Well, more like an underground MANSION... But something to the bottom right caught his attention. There was a note from Phineas, and it read:
"Hi, Ferb. I knew you would take this from my hand after I fainted of blood loss. Yeah, sorry for that. But listen, I need you and the gang to build this. Using the Master-Builder-Gear, you can do it. There is a duplicate pair near the couch. Then, I want you all to get as many people who have not been turned to monsters to be able to call this home for now. And if you need to leave and come back, I'll tell you where a bigger entrance is and they passcodes to the one behind my bed. Now, the passcode to the tunnel-slide is 17234. Then, if you were to go to my game controller in the drawer of the nightstand and squeeze the right handle really tight for about 30 seconds, it should open up the ground and you would land on top of my bed. But remember Ferb, I'm counting on you to not tell anybody of how to get through the passage ways. Thank you so much, Ferb!"
Ferb read the message carefully, and tore out the corner with the message and put it in his pocket, unnoticed by anybody. But the fact that his brother got that wound had secretly hurt him deeply. He was in a panic for his brother's safety, hoping he would be fine. But Ferb feels that his brother will... Not be completely okay. Ferb suddenly realized... He felt like he needed to protect Phineas. When Phin almost fell into the water full of sharks in Phineas Tower, when they went to get the mummy but were chased by the giant gumball maching, when Phineas's appendix burst and he was extremely ill, when he was caught in a 3 month coma after our invention exploded... All of those times, Ferb did anything and everything to make sure his brother was okay.
(The last two are both of my favorite fanfictions ever. The appendix one is called "Sick Streak" and the coma one is called "Wake Up" By Britt30 on Fanfiction.net)
He turned around to his friends and mother. He readied himself to speak, took a breath and then opened his mouth.
"Okay, on Phineas's blueprint he left a message for me. We need to build this..." Ferb said as he unrolled the blueprints and showed the gang. The gang stare at it in amazement before all asking Ferb what they should do. And Ferb directed them.
~Time skip to the next morning~
Phineas's eyes slowly open as he attempts to get up. He soon realizes that he is shirtless, sitting in his bed. In his secret room. He rubs his eyes, until he feels like he's being watches. He looks left to see Ferb sitting next to him on the bed silently, and they stay there a while. Phineas looks down to see new bandages over his wound. The reddness he had seen when he last looked at it was no longer there, which means the bleeding had thankfully stopped.
He then looked over at Ferb, who was holding Phineas's shirt up to him, and Phineas grabbed it. He put it on, and looked back to Ferb. Ferb reached into his pocket and grabbed the ripped off corner of the blueprints and handed it to Phineas. Phineas took it.
"So, did you guys finish it? If there is anything you still need done, I would definitely help you out since you guys had to do it by yourselves..." Phineas said. Ferb detected shame of all things in Phineas's voice. "We built it, and all that is needed now is to get everybody situated. Your blueprint said to get rid of this room, but we didn't. It is your secret room, and you don't deserve to have it taken away. Everyone else including me, Jeet, Bufe, and Izzy sleeps in bunkers." Ferb replied.
"What? Ferb, you guys built this place! I think you guys should sleep in here too. Bring a few more beds in here or something for you and the gang and mom, we can all share this room. It is too big for just me, anyway." Phineas said. Ferb gave a small smile while holding thumbs up.
Phineas jumped out of the bed, surprised that he did not feel very much pain. He rubbed his fingers over the bandage to see if they were very noticable, which they weren't. Phineas walked over to the Master-Builder Gear and put it on while walking to his bed. "On second thought, I could just give us all nice beds..." He then broke his own beautiful bed into multiple pieces and turned them into 6 good sized beds for each of them in a row. "Phineas, you didn't have to--" "No, Ferb. I don't think I should get any better than you guys." Phineas said. Ferb just stayed quiet, sighing and unwillingly agreeing with Phineas.
"Now, let's get those people situated then, shall we?" Phineas said as he started walking to the door next to the TV to see what everything actually looked like. "You coming?"
