Hey guys! unfortunately this is the last chapter of Sonya's Story! I hope you have enjoyed this story and if you have then stick around as I am making a second book called Cynthia's Story which is a carry on from this book. Hope you enjoy this last chapter!
A few months later I was due any day. Silver had been looking for food to feed the growing family while I rested in the cave getting enough strength ready for the day. I groan a bit as the baby kicks and makes it uncomfortable for me. I was starting to become more scared as the days go by. I then suddenly feel pain and start to cry. A few minutes later I start to scream. I then see Silver come around from the corner of the den.
Silver's POV
I heard Sonya scream just as I found more food and sprinted. I ran as fast as I could to get to Sonya. Hearing her in pain hurt me but we both knew this day would come with keeping the child. As I turned the corner I was helpless. I wasn't able to help Sonya except for being there to comfort her as she is in labour. She screams as she pushes. I let her hold my hand.
An exhausting five hours later Sonya gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. We decided to name her Cynthia since her eyes looked so beautiful like the moon.
Sonya's POV
I was so happy holding sweet innocent Cynthia in my arms. She was gorgeous. You could tell she was going to have my ginger hair as there were a few orange strands of hair. But she had her father's eyes. The three of us cuddle happily while Cynthia cries but settles down and smiles. Joy came to both of us. I then sing a song to her symphony. When us ghouls sing we either sound just like the singer or can't even make the right note. I was that type of ghoul who could sing. If you're a ghoul singing to the child you give birth to will know it's mother's voice straight away and will never forget the memory. Legend also believes the first song the baby hears from it's mother is the last song they hear just before they die.
Cynthia is now two weeks old now. Her ears and tail showed for the first time. When we saw her patterns we know she was going to be called Silver tip for her wolf name since she was pura white with Silver tips on her ears, tail, paws, tips of fur on chest and nose.
Just when we thought everything was well and Silver went to hunt while I played with Cynthia around the den a hunter finally finds the den. I quickly grab Cynthia smelling the man and hide her deep in the den. I then get the hunter's attention so he chases me away from Cynthia. I growl and he aims his gun and shoots but misses. I sprint off and so does the hunter. I'm running through the woods as I hear the waterfall running. I hear his footsteps following me as I reach the end of the river to the waterfall. I stop and hesitate to jump then as I jump I feel the bullet in the back of my head. Everything blacks out.
Silver's POV
I hear the gunshots. As soon as I heard the first I ran to the den as fast as I could but when I got there nothing. No signs of Cynthia or Sonya. I sniff the ground smelling two lots of humans. I growl and viciously show my teeth sprinting faster then I ever have. I follow white's trail and stops at the waterfall. I look down hoping to find white. I go around and looks in the water but I only see the water flowing.
I go around looking around for White and Cynthia not stopping for a moment. I've been searching for ten years now. I haven't seen either since. It feels like my world has gotten torn apart. I eventually accepted what's happened. I then went into a human pub and that's where I stayed for a few years.
It is sad that the main character died... or has she? maybe she is maybe she isn't you will have to read Cynthia's Story to find out but for now this will be the end of Sonya's tale as Cynthia will tell her tale.
"I don't remember much about my past. I was only young when I ended up in this orphanage. They say a man was looking for a beast when he saw a child in the cave. He looked around then picked her up and handed me over to the orphanage. When I first came in the headmistress adored me with my stunning moon eyes but not long after the man handed me to them they could see I was a little different to the others as I was a ghoul."
