It's been 23 hours since I last woke up from the floor. I wake up early before the sun would rise, so I can get ready to do a morning jog with Trevor. I slowly get up from bed and look down at my rug.
"Why am I even doing this." I ask myself, covering my face and shaking my head.
I fell back into bed, grabbing a pillow to cover my face.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
I forced myself up and turn off my alarm. Putting my hair up in a high pony tail, salvaging through my drawers in search for my work out clothes and opened up my closet door to take out my barely used nike shoes. I'm not much of an atheltic person but I guess that's going to change.
"Let's go."
I see Trevor leaning on my door wearing a gray V neck and black shorts. I finish tieing my last lace and follow him outside. We passed by a few beaten up cars, tagged walls, and 9 flickering street lights. We jogged for a few blocks then he led me towards a beat up warehouse.
"Come on."
I don't question it and follow him through the back, passing by useless stuff that I believe people just leave here till it becomes part of the earth.
He knocks on the door three times in different orders. I cross my arms to wait till someone finally opens up. To my surprise it's Liam with a cigerette between his lips. He nods at Trevor and gestures us inside.
The space looks better inside than out. Two couches in the right-hand corner next to what seems to be a small kitchen. A corner of computers and a generator that he probably takes care of, an old busted up black and red striped chevy in front of the larger doors, and a firing range with sound proof walls.
"It's nice to see you Lara." Liam says to me that snaps me off my observation of the place. I smile at him and we go in for a hug.
"Nice to see you too. It's been a while..." I say sweetly. I catch him looking at me up and down.
"Time to start practice on how to use a gun." Trevor cuts in.
I look towards him and we walk into the firing range room. He hands me a glock which makes me shake a little inside. Holding the gun makes me fear that I might do something I'll regret. Liam places three empty bottles of beer a few feet away from me.
I placed my left hand under the magazine and placed the tip of my right idex finger on the trigger guard so that way I don't accidently shoot Liam. He moves away and walks toward us.
I used front sight to aim for the beer bottle on the left. and pulled the trigger. Perfect shot. A half a second later I shoot the one on the right and then the middle. It takes the bullets at least 2.5 seconds to hit each beer bottle so it took about 7 seconds to destroy them all.
"Damn." Trevor looks shock of what I've done.
"Badass." Liam smirks. I try to hide my smile.
"I guess I got lucky." which was ironic because Lucky was the beer name.
Trevor's phone started beeping and I guess it was time to go since he just nods towards Liam and started to head out. I gave the gun to Liam and followed him.
We jogged back home and I was the first to shower. After the same morning routine. I walked to first period listening to 'Twenty Eight' by the Weeknd of course. I felt tired and sore from this morning so I try to fall asleep in class. Then some idiot takes out one of my earplugs,
"Morning Sleeping Beauty." he says.
I slowly tilt my head up and squint my eyes to find out that it's Ezra. I felt my cheeks turn pink again.
