Deal With It.

Chapter Four "Oh my gosh! You have to be joking.."

"Are you fucking kidding me?!"

The sound of Trevor's voice echoed throughout the room and felt as if it made it shake. Liam and I arrived at his warehouse after the chaos that made a swollen eye and a bruised jaw on his face. I sat with Liam on the couch as Trevor starts to begin his lecture.

"You could have gotten killed Lara. You know what kind of things men like them would do things to you! Ugh! Why would you even involve her!" he throws his bottle against the wall making the green glass shatter to the floor.

"Don't worry, I didn't kill anyone if your wondering. Oh and I forgot to tell you but I saw Danny today." I say as I bring the ice bag to Liam.

"Danny? I thought she was juve?" Trevor says doubting me. "Well apparently not if she's around school." I was hoping that he would noticed my irritation from my tone.

The thought of first seeing her in a long time made me think about how scared she was when I caught her.

'Why would she be scared of me and why was she after Ezra? More importantly why is Carlos and my name on the top of the hit list?'

"Danny's payment was anonymously paid off. I'm guessing that she had a price to pay off by giving Ezra to our competitors." Liam says while getting up and grabbing a beer from his fridge.

I leaned back on the couch, crossing my legs and tried to process all of this information in one day. "So your tell me that there are going to be more people after him?"

Trevor sits on the chair backwards taking the extra beer from Liam's hand. "yeah, that means more training and you'll have to carry a weapon around with you more often."

After the lecture and ride home, I fell straight to bed with out thinking of hygiene.

All of the sudden, out of no where I'm roughly shaken awake. "Lara please, you gotta help me." A familiar voice quivers in the darkness of the room. I turned on my lamp on my nightstand, "Danny?" I say rubbing my eyes. I gazed at the empty room and saw no one. Rubbing the back of my head I turned off the light and fall back to sleep.

"Lara, please help me I'm in trouble." I'm back in the school stairwell on the phone with Danny before she went to juvie during freshman year. "What do you mean? whats wrong?" I asked worryingly. I can hear her starting to cry, "I was at the Vertex..." she starts to choke up, "you wouldn't believe what I saw.." I walked back and forth. "What happened?"

I hear her starting to cry. "Where are you?" I say softly. I can't stand her being like this she doesn't deserve to be like this after what she's been through from losing her mom. "I'm in-" the call cuts off and I hear my phone alert that the call ended. I quickly scan through my contacts and stop at the name of Liam. My thumb hovered over his name but I never wanted to hear his voice again.

'Fuck Danny.' I pressed hard on the name and placed the phone to my ear. "Come on you-"

"Hello?" his voice sounded raspy, "Liam, I need your help! I think Danny is endangered." I tried not to panic my voice sounds otherwise. "whats going on?" was all he said, "Will you help me or not!?" I could feel my voice become louder. Then I heard a puff of breath, "Ugh, fine." the sound of typing on the computer made me eager to know faster.

"She's on the move, heading west near Route 42." he finally says, "Do you know whats over there?" I ask as I quickly run out towards the front of the school. "No but I'm sure if you tell Trevor he'll take care of her."

"Fuck that." I hang up on him before he could say my name and "borrowed" a car that someone left running outside.

I head on Route 42 heading west and saw a familiar face on the side of the road with several cops around her.

I remember being caught and ended up paying a fine that Ray could take care of but it doesn't matter. What I saw today that bruised up Danny's face will never happenagain.

When my alarm rang I got ready for school taking a quick shower as I got out I chose to wear a simple shirt with a black outline of a tiger, my olive jacket, dark skinny jeans and black boots.

School was normal and as normal I mean boring as fuck. Nothing happened until after school.

I arrived at Liam's warehouse empty which means he's probably off doing "special" deliveries. Since there was not movement inside I took the spare key that he hides under a rock and used it to go in.

His place seems larger when it's empty. I made my way to his computer and was able to hack into it to track down Danny's phone.

As I searched through her profile from the juvenile records, I was finally capable to reach her phone number.

After half an hour I read through her incoming calls and recent messages.

Anonymous:Meet at metro 4218

The message was sent five minutes ago. I quickly try to track where she is and it's shows she's a few blocks near the area.

Immediately I turn every thing off and make my way through the back door just in case someone see me.

I took my soon to be black scion and legally parked three blocks away to not be busted. Quickly I ran to the metro and saw Danny pick up a brown sack from the garbage can.

She just grabbed it and walked away towards the public restrooms.

When she turned into the bathroom I looked around for suspicious eyes and saw that it was clear.

Putting up an act I pretend to be on the phone and giggle with a small smile and walked into the room.

"Oh my gosh! You have to be joking!" I let out a laugh and went to the unoccupied mirror.

Inside the bathroom was three girls, I'm guessing that she was in one of the stalls.

"Yeah she like totally fell for it." I giggle some more and most of the other girls got annoyed so they left.

Using the mirrors I noticed that she's the only one using the stall so I turned off my phone, locked the only door and made a beat on the stall that she was in.

"Occupied."

"Open up we need to talk."

She suddenly gone quiet for a minute then flushed the toilet. I take a step back and look through the cracks of the door. The look on her face was full of fear and suddenly she kicks open the door.

From the force of the door I immediately fall backwards and catch myself on the sink. Danny rushes to the door but struggles to open it since I broke the lock.

"Danny." I say to her before knocking her out with one punch.
