"Danny, where are we going?" I giggle as we walk down the school hallway. "Come on just follow me." she snickers, I follow her into our first period classroom and we head towards the teachers desk.
"Here's the flash drive for tomorrow's PowerPoint all we have to do is just add some pictures and our job here is done." she does her evil smile and I plug it into my laptop. "How about we get some test answers before we leave?" I match her smirk and leave the class with no evidence of us there.
The next morning I could of sworn Mrs. Harp would of had a heart attack if Coach Cruz didn't come in from her screaming. I remember the whole class couldn't stopped crying because of the porn pictures that we changed in the PowerPoint. Ray got so pissed at me when he found out about it.
The memory fades away and I continue to hear a beeping sound coming from the monitor that I am connected to.
I slowly blink my eyes and adjust to the light in the room and see a doctor coming into my room. "Good your awake." he says to me. He takes a needle with a clear liquid inside and was about to put it into the cord attached to me.
All of the sudden I see someone push him against the wall and throw a few punches at him causing the doctor to knock down onto the cold tile floor.
He suddenly looks at me and was amazed that I was awake, he comes close and starts to fix all of the cords attached to me and then I can feel him move the bed towards the door.
I couldn't really see much of where he was taking me because all I saw before he covered me was the repeating flow of lights on the ceiling. It felt as if we were outside as a breeze hit me causing goosebumps up my arms.
Everything felt so foregin but so familiar, it's like I've been in this situation before but all backwards. The cold breeze came first then the repeating flow of lights with loud shouting of medical terms that sounds alien to me.
"Don't worry Lara, I'll get you out of here." was the last thing I heard before I fell back into slumber.
As Lara was asleep in the vehicle the anonymous figured placed her into a well modern loft downtown between the two clans.
"Wakey wakey.." The female voice from the dream I had deja-vus and I finally awaken inside a familiar place like Liam's yet less isolated by buildings.
I slowly blink my eyes and adjust myself to the lighting. The figure finally becomes clear and it's the same girl that ran away from Kevin.
"Who are you?" I know the person's face it's just the name is what I want to figure out the puzzle pieces.
She turns her head around, "Dad! Dad! She's awake!" she gave me a smile and says she'll be right back.
I took a glance at the room, the walls exposed bricks that were mostly covered by modern art, a clear glass window that contains the view of the downtown skyline, covered a bit with maroon colored curtains that touches the oak floor.
Most of the furniture were black from the bed board to the frames. Next to the door there was a bookshelf that was close to being empty if it wasn't the books that says, "psychology" and "sociology" on be spine.
Finally she came back with soup and orange juice but there was no father figure entering with her as she reached to the bed I lay on.
"Here this will fill you up, I was getting worried. You haven't eaten for days."
I look at the food she placed next to me and something about her says to not trust her but by the sound of a whale coming from my stomach I took the spoon and fork and dug into the chicken noodle soup.
"My name is Ruby by the way." she smiles at me, "If you need anything just call for me or if you can, you can just find me down the hall in the living room okay?" she gets up from my bed and I nod in agreement.
She disappears as once as she closes the door and I searched the room again to spot no home phone in sight. The windows had no emergency exit and if I jumped I would become a pancake so I was stuck with this chick till someone finds out that I'm missing.
Once I was done, I tried to get up and actually move around since I'm guessing I've been asleep for a while.
Placing the tray of an empty bowl and almost empty glass of orange juice onto the night stand next to me, I scoot up towards the end of the bed and made my way towards the mirror.
I became a bit dizzy on the way to the mirror which hanged on the closet door and gazed at my hair which grew to down to the bottom of my rib cage and my natural brunette roots made my hair look ombré.
I gazed back to my face and saw how my cheek bones became more noticeable as if I lost a lot of weight while I was asleep. I wonder how long I was out.
Keeping steady in the walls I made my way out the door and into the main hallway. Continuing to lean on the brick walls by using the sunlight from the window for me to see.
I blink at the light coming from the left where the living room is with black leather couches and a large flat screen tv. I look at the other side and see a glass dining table in front of kitchen covering a figure's face by the hanging utensils.
"Your up!" I glance at the other corner where Ruby sits on her laptop, where they place their modern bookshelf behind it. Watching her walk down the small steps, I stood still on the wall a bit bewildered of what to do.
She helped me towards the leather couch and started to ask how I was doing.
But all I could think of was, "What am I doing here and why am I here!?" I shout.
The figure from the kitchen came into the room and I was shocked at who I finally meet.
