"Why on Earth would you ever think I would cut classes, and with you of all people." Draco said disgusted, looking you up and down.

"We're already late, and already going to get chewed out. We might as well make getting a detention worth it, right?" You said, trying to convince him. The last thing you wanted was to be "avada kedavra-ed" by Professor Snape for being late to his class.

"That has to be the worst idea ever." He protested.

"Come on." You looked around the scenery as the two of you walked along the sidewalk. "You have to know somewhere around here that's nice." You looked back to him, he was biting his lower lip pondering. You raised an eyebrow; you were so close to convincing him. "Or are you too chicken?"

"I am not a chicken!" He snapped back.

"Really?" You crossed your arms in fake disbelief.

Draco glanced at you from the side scowling, still looking like he wasn't one-hundred percent sure he would go through with this. To your surprise, he took your arm and veered to the right, cutting through a field and some trees. After he was sure you were following, he let go of your arm and you followed him through a small wooded area.

"You know where you're going?" You said struggling to keep up with his fast pace, once more.

"Of course I do." He said as if it was obvious.

After a few minutes of walking silence he finally spoke. "Should be just up here."  The two of you approached the most horrendous looking tree house. You were really taken back, considering its something that belonged to Draco Malfoy.

      "Um...where?"

He looked at you briefly then to the "tree-shack." He gestured to it with his arm. "This is it."

"You're joking?" You thought there could be no why someone like him would be so proud of something like that.

"I'm not actually." The blond stepped closer to the old wood and put his hand on the frame, throwing a quick glance at you before climbing the ladder. Once he was up, you decided to follow. Once you made it up, you were surprised at the interior. The outside was weathered wood, but on  the inside the walls were a pale blue, and the floor a dark stained wood paneling.         There were small white beanbag chairs and a tree stump re-purposed into a small table separating the chairs. There were two small windows on the opposite sides of the tree house, one which had a view of a small creek, and the other a view of the direction you came from.

"Wow." You said, fully coming up the ladder and stepping inside. It was a lot nicer than you imagined.

Draco plopped down into one of the beanbag chairs. "Nice, huh?"

You nodded, sitting in the second bean bag. "Why does the outside not look as nice as it does in here?"

Draco was silent for a moment staring at the floor as if pondering whether or not he should open up to you. You looked out the window, trying to figure out what to say to change the subject. When you opened your mouth to comment on how lovely the view was, he spoke. "No one can know about this." He said in his usual hasty voice.

"Alright. No one will know." You offered him a smile.

Draco was a little taken back at your niceness. He cleared his throat. "This is where I go to clear my head. Get away from everyone." He looked out the window. You nodded, letting him continue on his own time. "If my father ever found out about this.." He trailed off. He had his arms resting on his knees.

"He wouldn't let you come here anymore?" You asked, admiring this softer, more open Draco.

He turned his head, now looking at you. "He would have it torn down." He again got worked up.

"Well," You started not knowing what to say. "he won't find out about it then." You finally finished. Draco offered a partial smile before covering it up with a scowl. "Was that a smile? From The Draco Malfoy?" You teased.

"Absolutely not." He snapped back before facing the window again. You could have swore he blushed, but you shook it off.

The two of you spent the school day, in the tree house, talking about nothing and everything at the same time. "We should head back." He said, looking at the sun set outside. "Before my parents come back. They don't have to know about this either." He referred  to the two doing nothing all day.

"Right. We missed the Train for school, so you were teaching me things I needed to know about being a death eater." You said following him out of the tree house.

He thought about this for a moment, then nodded. The two of you then headed back and you made it back just in time to put your bags back and casually pretend you were there for a while. Narcissa soon came through the door to see you and Draco sitting at the kitchen bar working on yesterday's herbology homework. "How was your second day at school?" She asked sweetly, making her way to the fridge to get a drink.

You looked over to Draco as if to say, 'Which one of us is doing the talking.' He nodded and spoke. "We missed the train." He said bluntly.

Mrs. Malfoy scowled in disappointment. "Draco Malfoy!"

"But," You began to add. Narcissa looked at you. "He was helping me know all the basics with all that death eater stuff." You smiled at her for encouragement.

She sighed in defeat, looking back at Draco. "Okay. We have a meeting tomorrow, so you'll be missing school tomorrow as well."

You and Draco exchanged looks as if the two of you had gotten away with a crime.
