Frozen Heart 7- Kanaru Pond

     I closed my eyes and rested, feeling the cool summer breeze. I would miss this when summer was over, it'll get colder and not as pretty. Suddenly my body was in motion and I was covered in cold spring water. When I arose I found my so called blonde friend laughing his ass off.

  I glared heavily, dark energy flowing off me. When Naruto finally noticed he froze up and looked at me. He scratched the back of his neck with a nervous laugh, as usual when he was creeped out by me. "O-Oh sorry Kanna-chan. It was to tempting, dattebayo."

I raised up in the water, my classic evil smirk pulling up on my face. Naruto leaned back, the fear growing more apparent on his face. "Heh heh heh..." I laughed lowly.

"Ka-Kanna-chan. What are you doing?" He asked, reached out with a wet hand and grabbed his ankle. Naruto let out a small high pitched scream of fear as I pulled and dragged him in the lake. He rose from below the water's surface and shook his head like a wet dog, spraying me with water.

Naruto looked at me with shock before he burst out laughing. "You got me Kanna-chan, dattebayo!" He said, holding his stomach underwater.

I smirked and nodded, "Hmm... yeah." I mumbled. After his laughter died he turned his blue eyes on me.

"I'm glad your my friend Kanna-chan!" He said happily. My cheeks turned red again. Jeez this kid makes me blush so much I'm turning into a tomato.

I crossed my arms, "Wh-why would you say that? I'm always mean..." I muttered, turning my head away.

Naruto shrugged. "Your not that mean if you talked to me when no one else would." He frowned and crossed his arms as well, anger burning in his blue eyes. "Everyone hates me before they even got to know me." He said bitterly.

I narrowed my eyes turning to him, "How long has this been going on, Naruto?" I asked.

He turned to me lifting up his shoulders in a shrug once again. "Don't know, since I was kid I guess. As long as I can remember anyway."

'Now that doesn't sound right... How could you hate someone before they even had a chance to talk?' Inner-Kanna quipped from her shadows again.

'I don't know but I'm gonna find out... His is situation is a lot worse than I expected. He's a sweet kid, obnoxious but not malicious like me. At least the bastards have a reason to hate me..." I muttered to her.

'So, you care huh?' Inner-Kanna teased. I glowered and shook my head.

'No! It just doesn't make sense!' I argued.

'Yeah but if you didn't care you would try to find out!' Inner-Kanna sang out before I could yell at her.

"Kanna-chan? Where are you? You zoned out, dattebayo!" Naruto pointed curiously, leaning close to my face with big blue eyes.

I rolled my eyes and shoved his face backwards with the palm of my hand. "Don't get to close, loser." I snapped.

Naruto pouted. "Kanna-chan, I know you don't mean it but that's mean!" He said loudly.

"Maybe I'm a mean person." I quipped back, a smirk pulling at the side of my lips.

"Kanna-chan!" Naruto whined, and turned away from me, crossing his arms. My smirk grew wider.

"Naruto?" I asked, leaning forward.

"What?" he slightly turned his head towards me, I could see the angry pout on his face which made it this that much better.

"Splash." I said then splashed water in his face.

"Hey! That's not nice dattebayo!" He yelled but a smile grew on his face with a laugh.
