Sarada walked into her house and placed her rose in the vase of flowers her mother keeps on a table by the door. By the vase was a note that was written in a neat cursive that was her mother's handwriting.
Went out with your father. Don't know when we'll be back. I made brownies for the new neighbors, bring them over for me. Love you!
MomSarada stared at the note and sighed. She dropped it back on the table and walked to the kitchen where she saw a glass container filled with brownies. Sarada loved her mother's brownies... They're really the only thing her mother could make without failing. However, they were only made on special occasions and right now Sarada felt that today was one. She opened the container and took one. Then another and another and another. A couple minutes later the tiny Uchiha heard the doorbell ring. Sarada panicked and looked down at the glass container, all the brownies were gone. The doorbell rang again.
"Coming!" Sarada hid the container in the fridge and ran over to open the door. At the door was a boy who was slightly shorter than her. His hair was in a top knot with some falling in his face and he had on thin glasses. He had on a blue suit with white trim but for pants he wore shorts instead of the traditional slacks.
"Hello." The boy softly said as he fiddled with the edge of his suit jacket. "My name is Kaminarimon Denki and I just moved in next door with my dad." Sarada smiled at him. She was happy to finally have a friend her age that lived in her neighborhood that wasn't a snobby rich kid.
"I'm Uchiha Sarada! Wanna come in?" Sarada asked. Denki opened his mouth as if to say something but closed it. "How about a walk then?" To this Denki nodded. Sarada sighed in relief. She walked out her house and closed the door behind her. She started walking and Denki followed slowly behind.
"Where are we going?" Denki looked around and made eye contact with his father's piercing gaze but Sarada didn't notice. She placed an arm around his shoulders and dragged him along at a quicker pace.
"I don't know but let's hope we run into some of my friends." Sarada mumbled to herself as they walked through the quiet streets. The wind blew leaves and flower petals through the air. Denki seemed to be scared. Every step he took was a little reluctant as if he wanted to run but knew he couldn't. Sarada was about to give up when she saw a blonde haired boy running her way. It was Boruto. He was smiling when his eyes made contact with his 'girlfriend's' but the smile fell when he saw that she was holding hands with someone else.
"Hey, Sara." Boruto stopped in front of the duo. He scratched behind his neck.
"Hi!" Sarada smiled brightly and a light blush traveled to her cheeks. She unconsiously let go of Denki's hand and stepped closer to Boruto. Denki just stood there. Confused. He wanted to say something but words didn't form.
"So I was coming over because Mitsuki needs you. I c-came to get you because you haven't answered the calls." Boruto blushed at his stutter. He only stutters when he's scared but this one was out of nervousness. It was weird to him.
"Oh sorry. I'll go then. This kid is new, show him around. Bye Denki." Sarada waved to the shorter boy and turned back to Boruto. "Bye." She placed a dark strand behind her ear and leaned in, kissing Boruto on his cheek. Before she could understand what she did she ran off. Boruto stood there. His face and neck burning.
"Well then." Denki waved a hand in front of the blonde's face but he seemed frozen. "Nice meeting you, Boruto." Denki walked back in the direction of his house, leaving behind the blushing boy.
