Baby Himawari's First 'Thanksgiving'

Kakashi stared at his former students in front of him and sighed as Hinata handed a baby girl to him.

"Keep and eye on them until tonight. We don't need them messing everything up like last year." Sakura said trying not to shudder at the memory. Sarada was in her arms playing with her mother's long, pink hair. The tiny Uchiha's face red from her previous crying.

"I definitely agree." Temari added as she placed the grumpy looking Shikadai on the rug. His green eyes drooping. Boruto poked his cheek and clapped his chubby hands in amusement when Shikadai began to cry.

"Boruto!" Hinata exclaimed, pulling the blonde away from the brunette.

"Wha?" Boruto asked innocently. His mother sighed, her face turning pink with annoyance.

"Apologize to Shikadai." The blonde toddler pouted before walking over to the crying boy.

"I sowwy." Boruto attempted to touch the slightly taller boy's head but ended falling on his butt. Shikadai stopped crying and wandered farther into the house. Sakura looked between the other two mothers before reluctantly setting down Sarada. Sarada whined in protest and reached for her mother who was walking away from the house. Sakura looked backed and blew a kiss just before Kakashi closed the door.

"Okay, I don't know what to do so cut me some slack." All the children looked at the silver haired man. A second later Boruto ran away, Shikadai fell asleep standing and Sarada started crying for her mother. Then the bell rang. Kakashi sighed as he went to open the door. Ino stood there with an over excited Inojin and ChouChou.

"Thanks again for watching them. Oh, and Hinata said don't forget to feed them." Then Ino was gone. Inojin ran into the house and started chasing Boruto.  ChouChou climbed onto the couch and started sucking on a random lollipop that was in her hand.

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!" Kakashi cringed as the baby in his arms started bawling.

"Sarada is already crying. Hima, don't do this to me!" Kakashi walked towards the yellow baby bag hanging on his coat rack and pulled out a bottle. He held it to Himawari's lips but all she did was scrunch up her face and let out another loud wail. Kakashi was about to put the bottle back in the bag when he felt a tug on his pant leg.

"She needs a diaper change." Kakashi looked down to see Shikadai. He nodded before heading to the couch to change Himawari.

____________

Sarada hated when her mother left her. She was always with her and was scared that she wouldn't come back. Face stayed a bright red even after her little tantrum because she was mad. The house wasn't familiar and her mother wasn't there.

"Whas wong?" Sarada looked beside her to see Inojin standing next to her.

"I don't know this pwace." Inojin nodded and walked away. Boruto then walked over and sat down next to the angry Uchiha. He smiled at her and handed her a small rock that was in the shape of a heart.

"I though it was pweety. Just wike you!" Sarada's face turned back to it naturally pale color and she smiled brightly at the boy beside her.

"Thank you." She responded.

____________

Kakashi finally silenced Himawari but now he couldn't find the other toddlers. He had already searched most of the house and it was too quiet. He wondered if they magically disappered. He placed Hiawari on his bed and made sure she was surrounded by pillows so she couldn't roll off by accident. He slowly walked around but stopped abrubtly when he came across the door to his office open. He slowly walked in to see all five toddlers fast asleep on the red rug.

"Huh, who knew children slept." He smiled at them before exitiing and returning with blankets to cover them.

___________

"I hope they weren't too much trouble." Hinata worried as he followed Kakashi to his office where the children were still sound asleep.

"I know Sarada was a good girl...at least I hope she was." Sakura chimed in though her daughter's past tantrums caused her to rethink her statement. They all entered the office to see the children still asleep.

"Thank the gods!" Ino exclaimed as she rushed over to her baby and craddled him.

" We really don't know what to say. We thought something would've happened. It always does when they get together in a big group." Sakura stated as she lifted the now awake Sarada from the floor.

" No, nothing went wrong. They were all well behaved." Kakashi reassured them falsely.

"We're forever thankful. And sorry for making you spend you holiday with a bunch of toddlers." Temari said while placing Shikadai on her hip.

"It was no big deal." Kakashi finally usured the worrying mothers out of his house with their half awake children. "Thank you for reminding me about why I never had kids."

A/N

This was more of a subtle Thanksgiving thing where some characters are thankful for something, even if it's small. I honestly think it's cute and I hope you did, too.
