Andy and I got our water and walked back to the waiting room. He actually sat down with me Regis time. We both sipped our water while holding hands, waiting anxiously for the doctors to tell us everything. I set my water down and layed my head on Andy's shoulder.
"How are you doing babe" I asked
"Honestly. I'm not sure. My mind and heart are racing and I just want to cry. I can't lose them. Not now. Theres still so much that they have to witness. Mitch is only 1 and they're already dying. What if they don't make it (y/n)" he said. I could hear the fear and sadness in his voice. It hurt hearing him like this. It truly did.
"We'll see what comes next" I said and just then a doctor called us in
"Biersack" he called out. Andy and I both shot up and practically ran over to him. I just stared hopefully at him until Andy started shooting 5,000 questions at him
"Babe" I whispered while nudging him a bit
"Right. Sorry. I should wait until you tell us everything" Andy apologized and we walked into a little office area sort of thing. It looked like one of those little pediatrics that you were afraid of as a child. I have to admit. It was kind of comforting.
"You must be Andrew and (y/n) biersack"
"Yes" we both said in unison
"Well Amy and Chris are both stabilized for now"
Andy and I both let out a breath we had no idea we were holding
" they both have severe lacerations and burns. Chris was driving so he had more to the head. If they do recover then Amy will most likely recover a lot faster"
"How did this happen" I asked
"A drunk driver hit them at an intersection then the cars behind them couldn't stop in time so they were directly in the center of it all"
"Oh my god. What about all of the other people in the crash" I asked
"Everyone else was fine, a few minor injuries but not as severe and Amy and Chris. The drunk driver is currently under arrest and will be taken to court here in the next week. You may visit Amy and Chris. But someone will be coming in to ask you a few questions for the case"
"Okay. Thank you so much" I said and stood up and walked down the hall with Andy. Honestly I was terrified to see what they looked like. Severe lacerations and burns. This is going to be horrific. And even worse for Andy I mean they've been there for Andy his entire life. They've been here for me because my parents can't.
Andy and I stopped at the door of his parents room. I squoze Andy's hand and looked at him.
"Andy?"
"Yeah"
"I don't know if I can see them like this"
" I know. I'm scared too. But I need to see them. And so do you. This is a life or death situation. I want to see them one last time if it's death"
"Ok"
We both took a deep breath and Andy opened the door.
We were both speechless. It was just as bad as I thought it was. Hell. It was worse. It ripped my heart in two. I began to cry a little. I held Andy's hand even harder. When I looked at him. He looked like he was in shock. Tears were forming in his eyes and I couldn't bare to see him like this. It looks like someone just ripped his heart out and burned it in front of him.
I moved closer to him.
"Let's sit down Andy" I whispered
Andy walked over to the chairs and we sat. We sat and waited. Waited for the worst
