Chapter 2: Bonfire

Riley's POV
Three weeks have passed since I moved here, and three weeks have passed since I saw the blonde beauty. I made a few other friends, but I still can't keep my mind off her.

Landry💕: Row
Landry💕: ROWWWWWW
Landry💕: There's a bonfire and one of my friends house
Landry💕: Wanna come?
Me: Uhhhhh I don't know anybody though
Landry💕: Exactly.
Landry💕: SOCIALIZE
Me: Fineeeee
Landry💕: YAYY ILL GO TELL RICKY
Landry💕: Can I come over?
Me: YEAH

I sent the text and went to go get ready.

I met Landry while walking in the park, we got along so well so we started taking more. Then she introduced me to her boyfriend, Ricky. But those are the only people I know so far.

~At the bonfire: 7:30 PM~
I sat down, gazing at the fire along with the other teens. After introducing me to a couple people, Landry leaves me to go get some hot dogs. I sat alone for a while until Landry comes over to sit next to me while handing me a hot dog. I began roasting it over the fire. "I'll be back, gonna go find Ricky.", she said and walked away. Great, now I look like a loner again.

Several teens were in the corner messing around. One of them his way to me and sat down. "Hey", he said.

"Hi"

He looked over and smiled at me,"I'm Mathew" I smiled back and said,"Rowan."

"Wow, a cute name for a cute girl."

How cliche. I looked over at him and raised my eyebrows.

He noticed this and said,"Haha, I joking. I'm not cheesy."

"Whatever you say.", I chuckled sarcastically.

"Row hun, your roasting that hot hotdog the wrong way.", he joked.

"Oh really? So now I guess your gonna show me the correct way?", I said. I knew where this was going.

"Yep.", he winked and put his hands over mine, twisting the hot dogs.

"Not cheesy huh?", I sarcastically said.

"Not at all.", he smirked.

He turned his face so that he was facing me, we made eye contact. I also knew where this was going. He leaned in, I stayed frozen.

"Sorry i'm not interested.". I said pushing him away. "Ooo, hard to get huh, I like it.", he winked and got closer, putting his hand on my thigh. "Stop it.", I said again. He started to get more aggressive. He grabbed my wrists,"Come on. You know you want me."

~1 hour earlier~
Sabrina's POV
"Sabby c'mon, you have to go", my sister whined. "Fine.", I finally gave up after she annoyed me about it for the whole day. "Yay!", she said,"Now go get ready, everybody's already there.

We arrived at the bonfire. It was pretty loud. "Sabs, hey!", Landry greeted me. "Hey! I haven't seen you in a while, I missed you!", I hugged her. "I missed you too! I just been hanging out with a new friend for a bit, you should go meet her. She's new in town so I want her to meet all our friends.", she said.

Immediately, the brunette from the store a month ago came into mind. I hated myself for not getting her name or number. "Yeah sure, where is she?", I replied. I was eager to see who this girl was.
