~5 years later~

I grab my luggage and start walking towards the exit of the airport, keeping my eye out for a certain someone.

"Rowan!!", I hear someone yell out. My best friend of basically my whole life runs towards me to embrace me in a hug. I look over his shoulder to see a said that reads,"Welcome to Los Angeles."

I'm finally back home.

"You ready?", Corey asks.

I laugh slightly,"As ready as i'll ever be."

I've decided to move back to LA after being invited to a convention to publicly speak about feminism and activism, to pursue my career in writing after finishing school at Columbia. In my junior year I became very interested in activism, leading to me writing an essay about intersectional feminism, which has gained a lot of attention and publicity. So now, here I am, back at the city I first started at, Los Angeles.

Corey and I caught up for the most part during the car ride and decided to walk around the city to find a place to eat.

"Rowan?", I hear a girls voice call me. "Oh my gosh it's really Rowan Blanchard!"

"Oh, hello!", I greet the girl.

"I'm such a huge fan of you and Sabrina! I love you so much can I have a picture?", she asks excitedly. I freeze at the mention of hearing Sabrina's name but I continue to smile and take a picture with her.

"I've heard the rumors of course, but I refuse to believe them. Are you are Sabrina really broken up?", she asks, with hope in her eyes.

I hesitate to reply but say,"Oh. Uh yeah, me and Sabrina broke it off a while ago. I'm sorry.", I sadly smile at the girl.

"Oh, well that's too bad. Anyways, it was still nice meeting you!", she says as she walks away.

I take a deep breath and sigh,"I can't believe people actually recognize me."

I put on a fake smile and nod my head forward,"Lets keep looking."

After a few awkward moments, Corey finally says,"So... Have you decided if you want to see her?"

"No. She's probably too busy with her music or whatever anyways. Heard she's filming a movie with Amandla."

"Yeah but-"

"No Corey. It's over between us. I'm over her.", my voice cracks as I lie through my teeth.

"You're not. You're not the same without her, you haven't been for a while."

"Love always finds a way back.", I quote her. "Is that just a stupid excuse to make it seem like she isn't breaking up with me to make it easier on me or what? Who the heck believes that crap. Love can't find a way if you break off all ways of communication without telling the other person.", I finally let out. "But really, I am over her. Just had to get that out.", I add.

"It just wasn't a good time for her, she was occupied.", Farkle says.

"Who's side are you on?", I ask out of anger.

He sighs and finally lets it go. "Oh, how about this place?", he points to a veggie grill. I've always wanted to try Veggie Grill. I nod and walk in, Corey following behind me.
