Chapter 10: Adventures in Babysitting

I went back and revised the chapters to fit how the rest of the book will be. There's probably going to only be around 15 Chapters to this book.

In just one and a half months, I got signed to a record label. I have an agent and four auditions coming up. Literally all my dreams are coming true. But I noticed I haven't payed enough attention to Rowan.

I go to the store and buy chocolates. Once I get to her door I knock and tap my foot on the floor nervously. Once she opens the door she looks a little surprised I was there. "I'm sorry.", I say automatically.

She smiles and pulls me into her room. "You and me, all day, nothing else.", I say. She smiles,"It's okay, you've been busy."

"You've supported me and pushed me literally since we first met. You're the only reason i'm actually getting to do what I love. You deserve more.", I tell her as I hold her hand.

"Hey, what are girlfriends for?"

I smile and pull her into a kiss. "I've missed you so much.", I say. "Me too.", she says.

For the rest of the day, Rowan and I went shopping, then after, I took her out to dinner.

"It's 11:30, don't you have to go to the studio tomorrow at like 5 in the morning?"

I nod as I take another bite of a bread roll.

"You need to sleep Sabby!", she scolds me.

"But I want to spend time with you!", I pout.

"You need to go sleep Sab."

"Will you go with me?", I give her puppy dog eyes.

"I can't. I have to finish an essay later."

Suddenly I get a call from my phone, it was my agent. "Hello?", I say.

"Sabrina! Great news, you've gotten the part as Jenny for Adventures in Babysitting!!"

"WHAT!", I exclaim, gaining attention from everyone around me.

"Yes! You're flight to Vancouver is in one week! Your mother has decided to temporarily stay there for around a year so you can film."

My face drops,"A year?"

"Yeah, they'll need you there soon for you to try on outfits and meet the cast."

"O-Okay, great! Thank you so much."

"Bye!"

I put my face down on the table groan. "Sabrina what happened?!",Rowan asks anxiously.

"I got the part for Adventures in Babysitting!", I say.

"Congratulations! Oh my gosh!!", she squeals and hugs me.

"But...I'm leaving in a week for Vancouver."

Her face drops for a second but then turns into a sad smile,"We'll be okay."

"We will.", I say confidently,"But i'm gonna miss you like crazy."

"Obviously. If you didn't I would be kind of disappointed."

I laugh then look down as I think about how we will end up.

"Can we go back to your house now?", she asks.

"What about your essay?"

"I won't be able to focus. The only thing I want to focus on right now is you.", she grabs onto my hand.
