This chapter is dedicated to my cousin Alisha. I told you that I would dedicate something to you! <Edited>

=================================================================

I finish packing my bags so I am completely ready to move to my new home. My dad is waiting downstairs for me. My mom didn't want to be around my dad so we said our goodbye's last night. I feel like my life should be narrated by the song 'Say Something.' I walk down the stairs with my heavy suitcases. My dad helps me with my bags. We hug and I give him a kiss on the cheek. The car ride is silent. Which leaves each of us to our own thoughts. The entire night was filled with tears, shouts, laughter and screams. Which all concluded to my mom traveling the world, my dad going to live in Cincinnati and me to live with Maggie. I was super surprised when they agreed to it. I am supposed to Skype them once a week and spend Christmas and Thanksgiving with them. They said they will try to visit me sometimes. I lug all of my heavy stuff to Maggie's front porch and wave to my dad as he pulls out of the driveway. I knock on the door and Maggie answers it with a tight bear hug.

"I am so glad you are going to live with us." She squeals. I just nod my head, not trusting my voice because I am so close to tears at the moment. She helps me with my bags and we walk to my future room. Her aunt catches my eye when I see her crying in the kitchen. She turns and looks at me.

"I'm so glad you're living with us Chloe. I am so sorry that you have to go through this. It is just-" She starts to cry harder. Someone is a bit emotional today.

"Don't mind her," Maggie whispers. "She forgot to take her Midol and she is a wreck. We walk to my new room which is very big and purple, my favorite color. I smile as I see that I have a Queen sized bed with beautiful sky blue sheets. There is a book shelf with my books filling it up. (My mom dropped off a bunch of my books and roomy stuff on her way to the airport. She is temporarily staying with her sister in Virginia. I have a beanie chair, my purple and blue polka dotted curtains, and a boudoir with all of my make up and hair stuff and a bunch of necessities. I have an empty walk in closet right by my own bathroom which is a very sunshiney yellow.

"I love it! Thank you so much for letting me stay here. I really appreciate it. You didn't give the master bedroom did you?" I know Maggie room is a bit smaller than this one and I have never seen her aunts room.

"Oh my gosh, no. My aunt insisted on having the master bedroom. She may be nice but she isn't that nice." We both laugh.

               We spend a good chunk of the afternoon putting everything in its rightful place. After we put the finishing touches on my half-full closet Maggie lets me get adjusted by myself. I call Derek hoping to get my mind off of things. He picks up after the second ring.

"Hey babe what's up, I haven't talked to you in a long time."

"Yeah, things have been pretty crazy lately. I just moved into my new room. I guess I am going to be living with Maggie from now on."

"Um- cool, that's great, can I talk to you later I am kind of busy now."

"Sure, that's-" The line goes dead. Well that's rude. I pace around my room admiring Maggie's work in sorting out my shoes. I laugh at myself, I must be really bored. My phone starts blaring Pompeii by: Bastille. I look at my caller ID expecting my parents or Derek but see that Nick is calling.

"Hello."

"Hey, Chloe, I was just checking in on how things went with your parents." I was shocked that he even cared or called to talk to me about it.

"It went okay I guess. My mom is going to travel the world or something and my dad is moving to Cincinnati."

"So your moving with him?!" I laughed at how distressed he sounded.
