Chapter 4
I sat in my car crying for about an hour. Tears stained my cheeks and my face became slightly puffy. A heard a slight knock on my window, I wiped my eyes and looked up. Daniel.
"Zia, will you open the door?" Daniel asked loudly. I smiled sadly and nodded 'no'. Daniel groaned and gave my a puppy dog look. His lower lip juted out and his eyes went wide. I smiled and laughed, Daniel seemed to think I was going to open the door, but I just smiled and nodded no yet again. Daniel groaned yet again and dropped his head in defeat.
I giggled quietly and sighed, then shoved the door open.
"What do you need Daniel?" I asked.
"You were crying. Plus, you were heading down Shrikety, which is the way to the Motel my family owns." Daniel said seriously.
"Your family owns the Motel? Great." I mumbled. Daniel stiffled a laugh,
"Can I at least catch a ride there?" Daniel asked.
"I guess. Hop in." I looked at myself in the mirror, I looked slightly crappy, but I guess it wasn't horrible.
The car slightly shook as Daniel slid into the passenger seat,
"Nice Car." He said. I looked at him and smiled, I turned the car on and drove down the road. "So, why were you crying?" He looked at me curiously.
"Just thinking about stuff, life hasn't been easy for me." I answered sadly.
I looked up to see a large motel in the near distance. It looked old, but the good kind of old, you know? I quickly pulled up and stopped the car, turning it off.
"Here we are." I said.
"Yeah..." Daniel replied. I silently groaned and got out of my car, then quickly grabbed my two bags from the back and headed for the door, peeking a quick glance at Daniel who was now, too, walking towards the motel. I opened the door and was greeted by a large reception area. Behind a desk stood a twenty or so year old women, she was flipping through a fashion magazine.
"Hello?" I said, attempting to get her attention. She looked up,
"Hi. How can I help you?" She asked boredly.
"I need a room." I responded. She looked at me oddly, then tapped a few keys on the computer, then handed me a key.
"Seventy-Six a night. Pay each night as you go." She said holding her hand out, I quickly pulled out a one hundred dollar bill and handed it to her.
"Keep the change, where is my room?" I asked. She looked shocked as she pointed to a door. I smiled and walked over to the door, opened it and slipped inside. I sighed and dropped down on the bed, allowing myself to slip into a peaceful sleep.
* * * * * * *
I awoke to screaming voices. I groaned and stood up, I looked at myself in the mirror, my hair was a mess and my clothes were akward. I used my werewolf speed and quickly changed and brushed my hair in a minute. I then unlocked the door and walked into the reception area.
There stood Daniel, he was facing me, and another body that looked familiar, but I couldn't place it. The two men were screaming at each other loudly. The girl who was behind the desk looked slightly frightened and she was attempting to get them to stop. She saw me and ushered me over to her.
"Help me get them to stop!" She cried. I groaned and nodded. I stepped out from behind the counter and walked back over to my door.
"HEY! I WAS TRYING TO SLEEP! SO, SHUT YOUR FACES! I CAN'T SLEEP WITH THIS ANNYOING GIRL-ISH SCREAMING!" I screamed loudly. Both men stopped, Daniel looked at me shocked, the other man turned around and looked at me. I froze, fear over taking my body.
Alexander...
"Well, if it isn't little Zia?" He snarled. His british accent making it sound even more menacing.
"Alexander." I whispered. Suddenly, I was against the wall, his hand at my throat.
"Love, it has been a long time. Much to long in my opinion." Alexander said, his eyes trailing over my body.
"I didn't think it was long enough really." I snapped. Alexander laughed.
"You know, I missed the taste of your blood. One of a kind really." Alexander said, he extended his fangs slightly. I groaned in protest, I shoved him slightly. He didn't budge.
"Daniel, a little help." I whispered, then Alexander's fangs pierced my skin. I looked at him in fear, his eyes turning black as he drank my blood. He stopped after a few moments and smiled looking at me.
"Delicious." He whispered. I allowed a single tear to slip down my cheek.
"Did you do the damn sacrifice? Are you a hybrid?" I asked sadly. Alexander nodded. I allowed another tear to slip down my cheek. "How could you?" Alexander snarled at me, then threw me across the room.
"I made a choice. YOU LEFT ME! All because I wanted to use his precious sister as the blood trade! Well, I did and she was delicious." Alexander cried, then he was gone. I groaned as I picked myself up. Daniel was looking at me shocked.
"Care to explain?" He asked.
"It's a long story." I mumbled.
"I've got plenty of time." He responded.
