“Oh no! This can’t happen!!!” I screamed as the mare bank’s screen showed that it had 0 bucks in it. I took the mare to Philip.
“Even I don’t know what has happened”, he muttered sternly, inspecting the mare carefully.
I suspected him. He made it. So he must know how to steal money from the mare. His face looked a bit nervous. Was he playing a trick on me? Was this one of the “fantasies” which where yet to come? I was completely dumbstruck.
Philip was the same-completely dumbstruck, as if something unexpected had happened. I wanted to know what was happening. Why is Philip behaving awkward? Why did he lock the door the previous day? Why he was not present in the dining room before me as usual? Several questions hovered in my mind but I had no logical answer for them.
Night came in. The moon’s glow was pale. It was a full moon.
I decided to stay awake. I kept on staring on the beady round eyes of the mare which stared back right through me. Nothing happened.
