There was nothing-except for the flickering broken torch.

“What do you want?” I yelled. I didn’t seem too strong. My throat was completely dry. The horse turned back and slammed a foot straight into the plywood. “Owwww!” Philip cried, holding his right hand with his left. The horse had stamped right on Philip’s right arm. The plywood cracked. Philip was badly injured. Philip managed to get up and he ran towards me.

“Philip, go to my room, I will handle this pony!” I commanded. “I can’t leave you!” he replied back. I heard a eerie creaking sound. “Now’s my chance.” I muttered under my breath. I heard another creak- a much louder one. “Bull’s eye!” Philip exclaimed. I turned towards Philip. He was holding a slingshot. Cool! I never knew that Philip could fling pebbles single-handed.  He took out something and threw it at the horse. “Out of ammo!” he cried. The object hit the plywood and bounced on the other side of the passage. The plywood groaned. The object seemed to be quite heavy. I waited for it to groan. The plywood was too old. I was waiting for it to happen.
