Suddenly, the eyes started glowing pale green. As seconds passed, the glow only became more intense. The mare sprang up. I gasped. I squinted hard in the darkness. I wanted to scream, but I couldn’t. I froze. The mare neared me- just to check whether I was awake. I tried to act as if I was sleeping. I felt it’s hot breath blowing straight on my face.

Wait, what? Breath?

Was it just an illusion or a nightmare? The mare is alive! It opened the door silently. I heard a tapping sound. TAP. TAP. TAP. This time, the sound was getting stronger and clearer.

I didn’t dare to step out of the door. I was just too scared and shocked to step out. The mare is making me go crazy! What a “wonderful” present has Philip gifted me! I decided to sleep but I couldn’t forget the mare. “I will investigate about this tomorrow.”

I muttered to myself. I fell asleep faster than I thought. I had a strange dizzy feeling.
