Tuno's POV
The boys always looked forward to Yukio coming over. We had agreed that he would move in when he could, so he came to visit us when he had free time.
"Dad!" The twins yelled together, running to Yukio as he got out of his car.
Shiro ripped the fence gate open, and Yuki stumbled along behind him. I giggled and walked along the sidewalk.
"I got you two something, but you can't have it until we get inside. Let me have a minute with your mother, and I'll give you your gifts. Go on inside." Yukio said, pushing them both toward the door.
The boys ran past me, and I heard the front door close. I looked at Yukio when he stopped in front of me.
"You didn't have to get them anything, Yukio." I said.
"It's not a 'thing' actually. I was thinking about getting them ready to train as Exorcists." He whispered.
"They are too young, Yukio. We can't give them a temptaint." I growled.
He placed his hands on my neck. "Relax for once. They won't get those yet. They need to know what they are first."
"You think they have Demon blood?"
"Think about it, Tuno. I'm a half-Demon, and you're a full Demon. They have to have Demon blood."
I hadn't thought about the possibility of them being like us. I shook my head.
"It doesn't matter if they are. We can be happy either way." I muttered.
"See? You don't need to worry about them. I'll be here to protect them. I'll always be here to protect all of you."
His lips touched mine, and I slowly wrapped my arms around his neck. His arms locked around me, and I giggled when he broke away.
"What did you get them?" I asked.
"I'm not telling you. You'll have to wait until I give it to them. Oh, and I do have one thing that's for you."
"Really?"
"Yeah. I'll give it to you after I give the boys their gifts. They've been waiting for ages."
I smiled and let him pull me to the house. Sometimes, even if we were both twenty-three, Yukio acted like a child just to make me smile.
Yuki and Shiro were sitting on the couch. They smiled when we walked into the living room.
"What'd you get us, Papa?" Shiro asked.
"Be patient." Yukio laughed.
I stood to the side.
"Yuki, you're first. Come here." Yukio ordered, getting on his knees.
I saw the large bag for the first time, and my curiosity was building. Yuki slid off of the couch and walked up to Yukio.
"Close your eyes. Shiro, come here as well." Yukio said.
Shiro stood beside his brother, and they both closed their eyes. I covered my mouth and nose with my hands when Yukio put child versions of the Exorcist coat on them.
"Open your eyes." Yukio whispered.
They did, and their eyes widened when they saw their new coats.
"We look just like Daddy, Mama!" Yuki cheered.
"Hold on. I'm not done yet." Yukio laughed.
He pulled out two small water pistols and gave them to Yuki. He gave Shiro a wooden sword.
"Thanks, Papa!" Shiro hugged Yukio.
"You're welcome. I was wondering if you two would like to train to become Exorcists. You would be exactly like me and your mother if you two do." Yukio said.
"What's an Exorcist?" Yuki asked.
"You have your mother's curiosity, Yuki. I'll explain what it is in a minute. It's your mother's turn to get her present. Sit on the couch and be quiet, okay?"
They both climbed onto the couch. Yukio looked up at me. I was trying to hold back tears. He smiled and pulled something from his coat pocket. He stood up and held out his hand. I put mine in his, and he flipped it over so my palm faced the ceiling.
"It's a bit late for this, but I wanted to do it." He murmured.
He placed a small satin box in my hand. He pulled it open, and he dropped his hands. I gasped when I saw the ring. He took the box and got down on one knee.
