" Good Morning , Rosetta." Hazel said, as she walked into the nurse's tent.

The nurse beamed at her. "Good morning , Hazel !"

"Is the Swan Queen..."

"I am afraid not." Rosetta said.

The Swan Queen had not recovered from her state, since their return. She lay oblivious to her surrounding, deep in slumber.

What could have happened to her that put her in such a state?

No one was as anxious for her to wake up, as Hazel was. Hazel felt that the Swan Queen was important to the rebellion. But she did not know how and she was desperate to find the answers to all her questions.

She empathised with the Queen's state and wished for her to get better.

"We mustn't lose patience, Hazel. She may not be showing any signs of recovery, but I know that she must be healing inside." Rosetta said, "Give her time and don't you worry."

Hazel smiled. "Thanks. You will tell me though, if she ever wakes up?"

"Of course." Rosetta assured, "The first thing."

Hazel walked up to the dining hall, that was filled with happy cheers.

" Well, the ring never fit me. Now I know why !" Nate said, leading Cindy to blush brighter than the red of roses.

" I have to run some errands." she said, pecking Nate on the cheek, before leaving.

" What happened to the 'I fear I will miss you too badly , to be able to wait for you . Return soon, my love !'" Ced mocked, prompting laughter.

" Guilty, all right." Nate said , not bothering to defend himself. "I must take your leave, gentlemen, for I too have some errands to run." He winked suggestively.

Hazel took his seat at the table.

"How is the Swan Queen?" asked Ced.

"Still the same." Hazel sighed.

"A pity." Ced nodded.

"But I believe congratulations are in order. Cindy is engaged." Hazel said.

"Thank you." Ced smiled, "I must say, it all seems rather sudden and odd..."

"You don't say!" Hazel said, "The idea of two people so close to my age, getting married is almost absurd to me."

"It isn't abnormal in this realm." Ced said, "And when one is in love..."

Hazel scoffed. "What do teenagers know of 'love'? Nate and Cindy are an exception, but you should see the couples in my school."

Ced looked taken aback. "Do you not believe in the sincerity of their love?"

"You wouldn't either." Hazel said, between mouthfuls, "It's nothing but infatuation."

"So you don't think you could ever fall in love with someone, right now?" Ced asked.

"No. I'm only fifteen, after all." Hazel laughed.

Ced did not reply.

" Where is Amber ?" Hazel realised, looking around.

"I haven't a clue. I don't think she ever came out of her tent." Ced said.

" I guess I should check on her." Hazel decided, leaving her meal, halfway.

She rushed to her tent to find Amber in tears. Her eyes were puffy , her nose red and it looked like she had been crying for hours.
