" How far are we from the Frog Tribe settlement , Hans ?", Gretel asked .

" We are surprisingly very near ." , Hansel informed , " It might take a few more minutes to arrive at our destination ."

They had been journeying for a day and a half. Now, they found themselves in a habitat of lush greenery and humidity. The continuous carpet of foliage was punctuated by little, grey ponds at irregular intervals.

Cedron felt his limbs ache from exertion. He knew he had bitten off more than he could chew, by accompanying Hansel and Gretel on their quest. It wasn't like his presence was required; the brother and sister duo were self-sufficient in every way.

There were so many reasons that had made him opt for this quest. He needed to be away from camp, away from his kin, away from the memories of his mistakes... Away from Hazel.

" Cedron , are you alright ?"  Gretel asked , breaking into his thoughts.

" I am quite well." Ced replied.
Gretel patted him on the back and smiled at him , with a sort of maternal affection. She had a homeliness about her; a presence that all found comfort in.

" How was the quest to Neverland ?" , asked Hansel.

" We were unable to achieve what we sought. Hazel did not consider Pan a suitable ally." Ced said.

" Hazel is a wise girl and I am sure there was reason behind her decision." Hansel said .

" I believe there was." said Ced, not wanting much to talk about Neverland. There wasn't much he could talk about anyway, as he barely remembered anything.

" Princess Snowflake hopes that we will be able to forge an alliance with the Frog Princess. It would greatly benefit us." Hansel said, "And we are in desperate need of allies, especially after the failure of Neverland."

" Don't worry, Hansie. We will be successful." Gretel assured.

Hansel nodded. " Cedron , Gretel , we have reached the lair of the Frog people . But before we enter , there are a few things to keep in mind. Treat the people of the tribe with utmost humility and respect and do whatever you may , do not betray the slightest disregard towards their different appearance."

They nodded.

A rustle was heard behind the shrubs .

Ced stepped forward.  All of a sudden the ground disappeared from beneath his feet, Down he fell, into a pit. He tried to grasp the wall of the hole, barely managing to hold onto its rocky surface.

"A trap." Hansel said.

" Don't worry, Ced. We will get you out of there." Gretel shouted.

Before they could commence their rescue mission, a group of people appeared. Ced saw that their slimy skin varied from shades of green to brown.
Many bright red and a few dark eyes glared at him and then at his companions.
