The sound of the dismissal bell echoed throughout the halls of Hopes Peak, bringing the school day to an end.

The students began to stir in the halls as they piled out the doors to breathe in the fresh air and whisper to themselves "Thank god it's Friday!"

It was the beginning of a well deserved weekend after the past week of classes filled with cleaning and being bunched up in a room.

"So, what do you think you wanna do, Peko?" Fuyuhiko asked, gazing curiously at his partner.

Peko furrowed her eyebrows in thought.

"I am not sure. Do you have any ideas..?" Peko replied as the two started to stroll down the street.

"Weeeelll.....We could go to the new cafe that opened...If you want." Fuyuhiko suggested as they came to a stop at a crosswalk.

"That sounds good." Peko replied simply with a light smile.

Fuyuhiko stood there for a moment, watching the cars busily speed by and that was when he realized that this was the perfect time to make a move.

Fuyuhiko hesitantly reached his hand out and grabbed a hold on Peko's hand.

Peko looked at him with eyes filled with surprise, but her face was mystified.

"It's dangerous out in the busy street...Just hold on so I know your safe..." Fuyuhiko said, tightening his grip on her hand.

Peko nodded with a grin.

"Of course."

Hand in hand, they crossed the busy street.

As soon as they reached the other side, they looked at each other dead in the eye.

They looked at each other, and smiled.

Ahh yes, such a tender moment. What could possibly go wrong?

That is...Until...This happened.

All of a sudden, a gigantic truck came barreling their way.

Startled by the situation, Fuyuhiko stood there, mortified. He could not move his body, it felt as if it was frozen in ice.

The truck was just inches away until Peko leaped into action. She pulled Fuyuhiko close and leaped off to the side.

The two fell to the ground. With only a few cuts and scrapes, other than that they were perfectly fine.

Fuyuhiko sat up.

"Peko?! Are you ok?!" He said, now kneeling beside Peko's body which was sprawled out on the road.

"Peko!! Answer me!" Fuyuhiko begged.

Peko's eyes flickered open and she sat up.

"Young master...Are you..ok?" Peko said in a daze.

"I'm fine! I am more concerned about you!" Fuyuhiko replied as he helped Peko onto her feet.

Fuyuhiko looked around and spotted Nagito strolling down the sidewalk.

"Goddamnit Nagito! I thought all the bad stuff happened to Soda when you were around!" Fuyuhiko huffed as he dusted off his uniform.

"Oh! Looks like lady luck is not on your side today." Nagito said, seeming as if he did not hear what Fuyuhiko said.

As Nagito approached them, he appeared to have a big-looking box in his hands.

He reached inside and pulled out some bagels.

"here, have a hope bagel!" Nagito chirped as he proudly placed a bagel on the couple's heads.

The two sighed and grabbed the bagel off their heads and took a bite.

Nagito nodded in approval and gazed up at the sky. "these are the good ol' days, huh?" He mumbled with a grin growing on his lips.

"The hell ya talking about??" Fuyuhiko asked.

"Exactly. It feels as if our lives are being written down in some manga or some anime or even a fan fiction." Nagito replied in almost a whisper

The couple gave him a concerned look as Nagito was spacing out.

"I think you have eaten too many bagels." Peko suggested as Fuyuhiko nodded in agreement.

There was a long pause as Nagito continued to gaze out into the sky. The couple glanced at each other then back at him, they decided to leave him be in his own wacked out world that he might be gazing into.

The two once again and more cautiously started out to grab a bite to eat at the new cafe.

As they arrived, they took a seat by a nearby window.

The staff busily scurried around the room, delivering and taking orders. Eventually when it came time for them to order, they ordered some small deserts.( I can't tell the difference between deserts and desserts so if I said it wrong them please tell me XDD )

They never went out like this, but to them it felt like it could be something they could do everyday.

"Nagito that guy...I can never figure him out sometimes..." Fuyuhiko blurted as he bit into a pastry.

Peko nodded in agreement and gazed out the window.

"I suppose so. By him saying those strange things..."The good ol' days"..." Peko murmured to herself, lost in thought.

They wanted to shrug off the subject, but their curiosity took over them.

"I mean...We never went out like this before. Other than that incident, today was pretty good..." Fuyuhiko said with a smirk appearing on his face.

Peko smiled in response.

"Yes. Today was very eventful. Maybe this is what our "good ol' days" are. Maybe this could be our always." Peko whispered as Fuyuhiko jerked his head up in surprise.

Fuyuhiko's face displayed a bright pink blush that painted his cheeks.

"Of course it can be our always!" Fuyuhiko said, completely flustered as he placed his hand on Peko's.

Ah yes, this is what I call true love.

That fuzzy, warm, nice feeling in their hearts every time they touch,

these small moments that they share is what they cherish the most.

This is no common love story. In the stories you read in your fairy tales, There is a maiden who runs into a prince. The two gaze into each others eyes and they cannot pull away. People may call it, love at first sight.

But for what you see before you, is a little different. They lived together for so long, they did not even know what a love like this really feels like, which many in fairy tales feel as well, but what these two feel, this connection goes beyond any fairy tale.

The tale of our two roses, a swords woman and a gangster. It may not have all been rainbows and cupcakes for them, but by the fact that they have stuck together for so long through all those times where they had no choice but to kill.

It was only a matter of time until they got a break from the past and got to look into their hearts and unlock the chains to what they kept bottled up deep down.

And in many chapters, as a narrator I always describe this relationship as something not even a unbreakable weapon can damage. But I am merely speaking the truth.

Their relationship, the things they will face from day to day, they will look back on it and think to themselves...

"Yup, these were the good ol' days..."
