"Everybody has a chapter they don't read out loud."

Monday Morning
Cassie:
I hurriedly scrambled out of bed as the beeping of my the alarm woke me up from my deep slumber. The bedside clock read 7:30 am. I wasn't late but I would be if I didn't hurry up. I rushed into the bathroom and freshened up.
I hurried into the kitchen and proceeded to make breakfast. As I bustled around the kitchen preparing breakfast I rehearsed my introduction for the interview, and went through a mental checklist of what all things I could answer for any question that they were likely to ask. I made oatmeal pancakes, egg and bacon sandwiches alongside coffee; milk for Eva, black for me.
After I cooked breakfast I took a quick hot shower and got into a navy-blue silk blouse and a black pencil skirt paired with black heels. I let my hair fall freely around my shoulders, I put on little mascara, lip gloss and pinched my cheeks to add a little colour to my pale face. I was never a huge fan of make-up, I preferred a subtle and simple look. After getting ready, I put my portfolio with an extra copy of my CV into my handbag and headed out of my room.
I banged loudly on Eva's bedroom door.
"Eva wake up! Breakfasts ready, hurry up today's Monday!", I yelled loudly and prepared our plates.
After about 10 minutes Eva walked into the kitchen sleepily rubbing her eyes, her dirty blond hair was up in a messy bun, she was still in her night suit.
"What time do you need to reach there?", she asked as she rounded around to grab her milk coffee.
"I have to be there by 9 o'clock. Its 8:15am, so I guess I'm on time.", I shrugged as I sat at the dining table sipping my black coffee. "Eva, I don't want to mess this up. I've come so far, I don't want to lose what seems to me, to be a final real opportunity.", I said softly.
She sat beside me and grabbed my hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze.
"Hey, don't worry. I know you won't mess it up. Just look at you; you are smart, young and talented. I'm sure they'll love you.", she said with a wide smile on her face. "After you come back we have to go shopping. It's a must! It's time to replace few of those old clothes of yours. Plus you will be needing new clothes for the new job. I've heard the CEO; the all mighty, Alexander Maxwell has a body to die for. He is an absolute eye candy.", she winked at me, wiggling her eyebrows.
"I haven't even got the job and you are planning on for shopping. And who cares if the CEO is mesmerizing. I'm not even going to working under him, that is if I'm hired.", I chuckled.
We finished the rest of our breakfast chatting about random things. Once breakfast was done we cleared up the table. I fixed my appearance one last time, grabbed my coat and left after Eva wished me good luck. I hailed a cab instead of taking the bus because I was running slightly late. After about fifteen minutes I reached the Central Park Street. The road bustling with tourists and citizens going about their busy routines.
The Bayview Hotel stood tall on the street. The building towered into the sky. Its symmetrical patterns of vivid, dark contrasting coloured glass gleamed as the sun reflected off the structure giving a shine to the distinctive architecture of the edifice.
I took in a deep breath and walked in through the automatic revolving glass doors. The lobby was a vast space lavishly decorated. The floor was tiled in cream and golden mosaic marble, which made every step echo. The vaulted ceiling rose high, a large striking crystal chandelier hung from the centre of the plafond. A spectrum of colours shined brightly as the gemstones caught the sun rays that streamed in though the French windows.
