Chapter Five

CHRISSIE POV

"Finally the day I get my lucky back." I say getting ready to collect him from the prison.
"Yes I can't wait. We can all still come can't we?" Asks Rebecca.
"Yes of course."
"I'm afraid Ronnie can't come he has a very important meeting and he cannot miss it, sorry." My dad said coming into the room.
"Oh that's fine." I said happily because I didn't want him to come anyway.

We set off to go and collect Lachlan "Least there will be no more deaths in the village now they've all been locked up and it's quiet because Roberts gone." I say.  "True thankfully they got them before they killed anymore people, what a year it's been so far. Least we are getting Lachlan back." My dad says concentrating on the road.
"Yeah your right." Rebecca says.

When we arrive I see Lachlan standing outside waiting for us. I jump out the car and shout "Lucky!" I run up and hug him.
"Hi mum." He says hugging back.
"Come on let's get you home."

REBECCA POV

As we drive home it gets dark because the prison is a long way away. Then all of a sudden a black car hits into us and we roll down a hill. When we land I see Lachlan he is unconscious and then I look at Chrissie and dad and they are unconscious too. "Chrissie?" I shout shaking her. "Lachlan, dad!" I shout again. They don't wake up so I try and get out the car. Then I see someone running towards me with a stick in their hand. I start to run, then when I can't see them anymore I stop. Then I see their face it's .....BLACKED OUT.

LACHLAN POV

I wake up to my mam shaking me. "What happened?" I ask confused.
"I don't know, Rebecca has gone and your grandad won't awake. Are you stuck?"
"No I think I can get out." I get out the car then help my mum out and ring an ambulance.

10 minutes later the ambulance arrives and they rush my grandad to hospital he didn't look good.  "He's gonna be alright." My mum reassured me. We got into an ambulance and went to the hospital. I rang Ronnie and my mum rang the police for Rebecca who was still missing.

CHRISSIE POV

An hour later dad is in intensive care with Ronnie by his side and Rebecca is nowhere to be seen. I waited for Lachlan's interview with the police to be over because I had already done mine then i spoke to Ronnie. "Me and Lachlan are leaving."
"What?"
"We are going to leave. There is obviously someone out to get us and we need to go. Ring me if there is any change in dad or they find the person who done this and ring me once Rebecca gets found."
"Okay I will do, take care."
"We will. You too and take care of dad." He smiles and I go over to my dad. "Bye dad."

I go back to the house with Lachlan and grab our things then get into the car. "Why are we going."
"Trust me it's the best option we have right now." I say driving off.
