Chapter Seven

NICO POV

I wake up the next morning excited to see what Jimmy has got me and see how is going to get me to the pub without telling me about the surprise party. I get up and shake him awake. "Get up lazy bones." I say.
"I'm up. Why you getting me up so early anyway?"
"Because it's my birthday you idiot, you haven't forgot have you?"
"Of course not, I have something planned for later that's all."
"It better be worth while." I go downstairs and get myself breakfast and leave Jimmy to sleep.

JIMMY POV

As Nico left the room and grabbed my phone and texted Rodney. I texted him "Crap Rodders you have to help me. I've forgot Nico's birthday what am I gonna do?" A few seconds later I get a reply it reads
"Don't worry Jimmy I have it all under control just make sure you have her at the pub by 4 o'clock." Thank god Rodders had it set control and then put my phone down and finished sleeping.

NICO POV

It was 5 to 4 and Jimmy asked "We should go to the pub for a birthday meal."
"Okay." I agreed because I knew what was to come. We take ourselves there and make our way into the pub.
"Surprise!" Everyone shouted as I walked in.
"Thanks this is amazing. Did you do this Jimmy?" I asked.
"Well yeah sorta." Everyone was here it was great. I go say hello to everyone. Megan and Frank give me wine, Bernice gives me some facial cream probably from her salon, Laurel gives me a really nice necklace, Dan and Kerry give me some chocolate. I thank Chas, Charity, Cain and liv for organising it and Emma Finn Pete Bev the babysitter and Debbie are probably just here for the free wine.

I go to the door where my dad just left and where Jimmy was standing and I asking what he got me. "Well you see Nico." Before he could continue Ross barges in through the door and shouts
"Run get out of here!"
"Ross your okay." Emma says to him. Then the lights go out and it's pitch black and I can't see anything, lots of screams happen.
"Everyone calm down I'll go fix it." Chas says going through into the back.

*GUNSHOT* A gun goes off and something smashes through the window and I can hear someone leave as I am right next to the door. The lights come back on and a few seconds later Chas comes back through "All fixed." She says.
"Nico!" Jimmy shouts. I look at him confused then everyone begins to stare at my arm.
"Oh my god, I've been shot." I couldn't feel anything because it was my arm I couldn't move. A few minutes later an ambulance comes a picks me up and me and Jimmy go to the hospital.

EMMA POV

"Ross what happened? Where have you been? Why did you shout run?"
"What is this 20 questions?"
"Where have you been?"
"I've been trapped in a barn thing but I don't know where it was. I remember it was the day Leo died. I was doing a deal and the driver took me to my dealer but they wouldn't let me see their face. I gave them the drugs and left. I then went into the forest and something hit me on the back of the head I blacked out and woke up in a barn. I was alone but I could hear someone beside me I don't know if it was an animal or another prisoner or that crazy person. All I know about them is that they have long hair, so it's a girl."
"How did you escape?"
"When they brought food for me I was ready at the door I pushed them and ran. I ran here they were chasing me but I think they came in with a gun wanted to shoot me up at shot Nicola instead."
"We are going to the police."
"Can we go in the morning I'm so tired."
"Fine but we are going."

CHAS POV

"I don't feel safe anymore deaths, shootings, suicides, missing people, crashes what's next?" I say to Charity.
"Oh I know it's crazy, let's just hope Nicolas okay."
"This party is just getting started now I'm here." Rodney said coming through the door.
"Rodney come here. You need to go to the hospital, Nicola's been shot." Before I can say anymore he's off.

A couple of hours later Jimmy comes into the pub. "How's Nicola?" I ask.
"She's been fully paralysed, she has to stay in hospital for 6 months and maybe she will walk again but I don't know. I just came to tell everyone."
"Give her our love Jim."
"Will do." He says walking out.
