It's You

"Hey, you wanna hang out after school?" Jc whispers to you during last period.

"Yeah sure. No ones home, so it'll be just us." You whisper back.

"Okay cool." He quietly says, with an adorable half smile.

As you look at the clock, you see there's only 5 minutes left of class. You start tapping your foot, out of impatience.

The anticipation of going home and hanging out with Jc was killing you.

When the bell finally rings, you quickly sprint out of the classroom and to your locker. You and Jc were locker neighbors, so he was right next to you within a second.

You both gather your stuff and run to the bus.

"By the way, I have to tell you something later." Jc says to you once you're both seated.

"Okay, don't forget!!" You say to him jokingly.

"Don't worry, I won't forget this." He says with a little laugh.

The whole bus ride home, all you could think about was what Jc was going to tell you. But as soon as you got off at your stop, you completely forget about it.

You both walk inside of your house, and immediately go up to your room.

You and Jc are sitting on your bed, doing pretty much nothing, when suddenly you hear him sigh.

"What's wrong?" You ask him.

"I need your advice on something." He says seriously.

You turn to face him, and say, "Okay, advice on what?" You ask curiously.

"It's girl advice." Jc says nervously.

"Uh oh." You say laughing.

"No I'm serious!!" Jc says, now laughing too.

"Okay. What can I help you with?" You ask.

"Well, I really like this girl.. But I don't know how to tell her." He says. This hurt you, because you've liked Jc for a while, although you did feel like he would never like you back.

"What's she like?" You ask trying to figure out who it is.

"We've been friends for a really long time. She's so sweet and kind and gorgeous. I love the way she laughs. Her smile is so cute.." Jc goes on and on about her for a while. Tears start to sting your eyes, but they quickly vanish when you think about how happy Jc is. When he talks about her, his eyes light up in ways you've never seen.

"You seem to really like this girl. You should ask her out!" You say, trying to sound happy.

"Okay, but how? I'm nervous." Jc says looking down at his thumbs.

"Call her right now!!" You say with a smile.

"Okay, I will." Jc says. He takes out his phone, and goes to his contacts. You can't see who he clicks on. He puts the phone up to his ear, and clears his throat. A few moments later, your phone starts ringing.

You turn to pick it up, and don't bother to look at the caller ID.

"Hello?" You speak into the phone.

"Hey.. I was wondering if you'll be my girlfriend?" Jc says. You look over at him, and he looks back at you with hopeful eyes.

"Of course." You say as you start smiling. You both hang up, and Jc leans over and kisses you. The kiss lasted for a while. You both smiled into the kiss, and stared into each other's eyes.

"I love you." Jc says.

You give him a kiss and say, "I love you too."
