The New Girl - Chapter Eleven

"RING, RING, RING, RING"

Lauren was interrupted by her phone ringing loudly. She reached over to her night stand and grabbed it; she saw it was Camila. Lauren was currently doing homework, and she knew she wasn't supposed to talk on the phone till it was done. But she quickly slid the screen to answer and put it to her ear.

"I promised I'd call." Camila's voice said teasingly and Lauren stifled a laugh by biting her bottom lip. "And here I was just waiting by my phone, thinking you'd never call." Lauren joked and Camila giggled, "Well you thought wrong." Camila joked back and Lauren giggled.

"What are you doing Camz?" Lauren asked gently and Camila smiled through the phone, "Just got done eating dinner, what about you?" Camila asked curiously. "Homework." Lauren said bluntly, "Oh, did I interrupt? I could call back-" Camila tried politely but Lauren cut her off. "No! I mean, it's alright, I was just finished." Lauren lied, she really wanted to talk to Camila. For some reason she really enjoyed talking to the brunette.

"Oh, okay, good." Camila said lightly and Lauren smiled, "So, are you finally gonna let me figure some of you out?" Lauren asked teasingly and Camila giggled. "My names Karla Camila Cabello, I'm sixteen, my favorite color is yellow, I'm clumsy as hell, and I'm gay." Camila said bluntly and Lauren's eyes widened. "You're gay?" Lauren asked and Camila bit her lip nervously, "That's not a problem is it?" Camila asked nervously. "No! No of course not, I mean- I'm bi." Lauren admitted, "Its just shocking that you're gay." Lauren explained.

"Wait, you're bi? And why is it shocking?" Camila asked, "Yeah I am, and because I don't know, it just is." Lauren admitted and Camila giggled. "Well I am." Camila confirmed, "That's cool- I mean not cool, I mean, gosh I'm sorry I'm so awkward." Lauren said, mentally face palming herself, causing Camila to laugh. "It's okay Laur, chill." Camila said and Lauren chuckled.

"What about you?" Camila asked and Lauren furrowed her eyebrows, "What about me?" Lauren asked curiously. "Tell me about yourself." Camila said and Lauren giggled, "Well my names Lauren Michelle Jauregui, I'm sixteen, my favorite color is blue, I'm awesome, and I'm bi." Lauren said bluntly and Camila giggled. "I kinda knew all of those things." Camila joked and Lauren giggled. "Well I hate chocolate." Lauren admitted and Camila's eyes went wide.

"You what?!" Camila asked in horror, "How could you hate chocolate?" Camila asked and Lauren giggled. "Chill Camz, it's not a big deal." Lauren said jokingly, "But it is! How could you hate chocolate?" Camila asked.

"Oh my gosh I totally had a fan girl moment, I heard chocolate for the first time and I hated it." Camila said and Lauren's eyes went wide. "You like the 1975?!" Lauren asked and Camila's eyes widened again. "You actually know who they are?!" Camila asked in shock. "They're only my favorite band of all time!" Lauren practically yelled and Camila practically squealed, "Oh my gosh same! What's your favorite song?" Camila asked and Lauren smiled.

"Sex, all the way." Lauren said and Camila giggled, "I love that song, but my favorite is "she's American"." Camila said and Lauren smiled. "I love that song." Lauren admitted, "I can't believe you love them too. Okay, okay, let's try to see what else we have in common." Camila said excitedly causing Lauren to giggle.

"I'll ask a question and we'll both answer at the same time okay?" Camila asked and Lauren giggled some more, "Okay." Lauren said and Camila was silent for a moment. "Yes or no; macaroni?" Camila asked, "Fuck yes." They both said at the same time causing Camila to squeal again. Lauren laughed loudly, she thought it was cute how excited Camila was over them having things in common.

"Lady Gaga?" Camila asked, "Queen! Yes!" They both answered and Camila gasped. "You are literally perfect oh my god." Camila said and Lauren blushed. Lauren was grateful that Camila couldn't see how hard she was blushing at that compliment.
