After posing for pictures, with my hand in the crevice of his arm, Nick and I walked inside, escaping the cool night air that gave bumps on my bare legs. Inside was beautiful, the entire building pumping out bass dropping music- everything sleek, black and modern, triangle shaped chandeliers hanging low lights above us. A long sleek catwalk in the middle of all the excitement.

Everyone was dressed expensively, tuxedos and Louis Vuitton's flooded the area, each holding a glass of champagne in their hand. There were fashion designers among the crowd that I recognized, various magazine editors of Vogue and InStyle scattered around too. This was crazy, there were so many celebrities. Which made sense, because now my boyfriend was a celebrity.

That sounded strange too.

Nick lead us to the other side of the crowd, where I noticed a dark headed boy with his arm around a petite figure. Oh, it was Joe and Anna.

"Brother!" Joe cheered when his eyes landed on Nick, he tilted his head back and downed the rest of the champagne in the chute and walked over to us, smile wide.

"How's it going?" Nick asked as he dropped his arm and gave his brother a manly hug, pounding their flat hands against each other's back.

I turned to Anna. Her black hair was in a messy bun at the back of her head, wisps falling down to frame her small face. Her tiny nose and green eyes that were wearing so little make up made me feel strange in front of her wearing a deep smokey eye and false eye lashes. Anna's tiny heels and black dress hugged her frame tightly- she looked beautiful, but she always did.

"Feels like forever since I've seen you," I told her, trying to ease our silence and taking the few steps to her open my arms in a polite hug.

She gave me a small squeeze. "I know, Joe's schedule is so crazy that in the matter of a month it feels like years since the Jimmy Kimmel interview," she told me.

Looking down at her, I couldn't help but remember what Nick had told me the night that we had first kissed. How he said that sometimes he didn't feel like he was over Anna and I wondered because of how beautiful she looked tonight if this was one of those times.

"Yeah I know," I replied. "What do you do again?"

She rubbed her bracelet-ed wrists. "I work at a beach shop in L.A- when I'm not traveling with Joe. It's just enough money to attempt to pay my aunt back because she lets me live with her. Even though she never takes it." Her lips let out a small chuckle and I suddenly thought of Nick kissing her. Because I knew he had kissed her in the past. The thought made me uncomfortable, I switched to lean on my other foot.

Before I could reply to her, a familiar hand rested on my hip, pulling me to his side. "How long are you guys in New York for?" Nick asked, his eyes flickering over to land on Anna for a couple seconds too long.

I shifted again.

She answered him, "A week, I think."

Nick nodded, shifting his gaze away from her as if it pained him. "We'll have to get together then." Then a change of subject to avoid the awkward silence that entailed. "Have you spoke to Kev?"

Joe nodded. "Yeah," he said as he reached over to grab another chute of champagne. "he said he couldn't show up tonight because the baby's sick. You know the standard new parent stuff, every time the baby sneezes it's like their whole life stops for a week."

"Rayne?" I heard from my right.

I turned to see Rebecca from Cosmo walking over to me in a tight knee length Tiffany dress, a flowered necklace around her neck.
