Chapter 2: Welcome Back, Hina

Yusuke's POV

Why is the time taking so long. At lunch time there's no way, I'm gonna let you escape. I need to talk to you and that's what I'm gonna do.

A few minutes later, the bell finally rang. Emma must be eating her lunch by now... Hina wore her white sling bag, slanting from her shoulders to her waist. She was smiling while she was on her way to the door. Everyone has left and she thinks she's the last one to go out. Think again. I walked faster than usual and grabbed her by the arm and forced her to look at me. I didn't that hard though. "A-Asahina-kun? What's wrong?" She asked innocently... "Don't you call me with my last name!!... you usually called me by my first name back then?!" I yelled at her. I can't help it. Why would she leave me like that? She bowed her head avoiding my eyes. Now, I feel bad about yelling at her. "Don't just keep quiet and say something!" I said as I held her elbow and pulled her out of the classroom. We went to the rooftop of the school since students rarely go there.

I let go of her arm and I leaned on the terrace and crossed my arms. "Well, you better start talking." I said looking at her in a mean way.

Hinagiku's POV

He thinks he's scary when he made that face but I think it's funny... but I can't laugh right now. Not now... I miss him. "I never thought that you'd be going to this school." I said to him. "Emma was going here so I decided to go here as well." He said to me and I bowed my head again. He's with Emma a while ago. Are they together now?... I heard Asahina-kun sighed and he got off the terrace and walked towards me. I looked up and his face were inches away from me. He started to poke my forehead while he was talking. "Why're you so quite all of a sudden? Aren't you suppose to say something to me?" He said as he stopped poking my forehead. I missed this side of him. "Gomenasai... Asahina-kun... " I saod apologizing to him.

"Why're you calling me that?!... and most importantly... Why did you leave me? Or at least say goodbye?! Do you know how much I suffered searching the whole town and trying to reach you?!! Why didn't you let me know that you're leaving?! Why didn't you let me know where you were going?!.... tell me!" He almost yelled at me and I swear that any minute now, I'm going to cry but I fought it. I can see pain and anger in his eyes.

"For now... I can't tell you why I did it. But one day, I'm going to tell you... and I'm sure you'll understand why... All I want to say for now is forgive me ... I'm truly sorry for what I did... I have a reason though... but I can't tell you for now.... for all those sufferings, pain and worries that I have given you,.... Gomenasai, Yusuke-kun."

Yusuke's POV

She called me Yusuke again. I felt relaxed. I held both of her arms... "Just tell me why, Hina.. I won't be able to stay put... not untik you tell me!" I yelled at her again. "Yusuke-kun... trust me. I'll tell you when I want to but just stay put... I won't die without telling you the truth... I already feel bad from troubling you when I left.... so... please forgive me." She said bowing her head. I let go of her.

"That's enough... I forgive you... but you have to promise me one thing." I said to her and she looked up at me. "What is it?" She asked confused. "You can't go anywhere without my permission. You can't leave without me knowing where you are. You can't leave me anymore." I said with a serious look on my face. She stared at me for a while before smiling. "Mmm!" Was all she could say. "Seriously, we've been friends for like 8 years and you just left me like that." I said leaning against the terrace and looking at the view resting my elbows on the terrace and she did too. "Gomenasai, Yusuke-kun." She said smiling at me and we both stared at the view. "Hina?" I asked her. "Hmm?" She said gesturing me to continue. "Thank you for calling me by my first name again. It kinda helped me relax a bit." I smiled at her and she smiked back at me. "Welcome back, Hina." I said to her and smiled.

We didn't bother to eat lunch... The bell rang and we head to our next class... she wasn't in my class anymore.

When classes was over I walked out of my classroom... I made a few friends like Ametatsu, Shinosuke, Tsukigawara... They were pretty much easy to approach and they were fun. I was walking out of the gate and I saw Emma running towards me. "Yusuke-kun... Let's go home together." She said smiling. Stop smiling like that... you're so cute... "oh okay." Was all I could say... "Were you able to fix things with your best friend?" She asked while we walk. "Yeah... I'm glad she's back..." I smiled. "Isn't that her?" Emma said pointing to her. "Oi! Hina! Want to go home together?" I asked her... "oh no... I need to go to the bookstore to get me some study guides." She smiled at me. "Oh.. this is Hinata Emma... and this is my bestfriend, Yuzuki Hinagiku." I introduced them.

"It's nice meeting you, Hinata-san." Hina said bowing. "The pleasure is all mine, Yuzuki-san." They smiled at each other... "Ja! I'll go ahead Yuzuke-kun, Hinata-san. Be careful." She said before she ran off... We were about to walk away when we heard a slight noise. We turned around and saw Hina got hit by a motorcycle but the motorcycle just left.
