Chapter 8: Assignments 2

Yusuke's POV

I just got home from Hina's house... I layed down on my bed and pulled the sheets over me. I just realized that Hina can't stay alone... and I also realized something about myself... and that's ... I want to protect her. I want to stay by her side... I need to take care of her. And I'm the only person who can do that for now... I fell asleep relaxed.

The next day

They'll be here later so I prepared myself. I showered and changed. I put on some black and red clothes as usual. I put on some snickers before spraying some cologne. I fixed my hair and took my laptop out and went to the sofa. Emma was now working on her speech. I sat down beside her and greeted her. "Hey." I said and she smiled at me. 1 hour later, my little brother Wataru called out to me. "Onii-chan, your friends are here! Onee-san!" He said as he hugged Hina. "Konichiwa,..." says Hina and I smiled.

"Yosh! I'll treat you all some ramen if we can finish this today!" I said to them and they cheered.

I winked at Emma and she blushed .. wow. Was that because of me?... I hope so... We shared about our ideas before we started. Since, I'm one of these students when I was in High School... I have changed though... Students getting low grades due to modern technology. I writed mine pretty fast cause I had a lit of experience... and the only one who changed me was Emma... we ate some snacks that Kyo-nii prepared for us while we were working.

It was now 5:00pm and we finished our speech and we fixed up our things. We were all exausted. Kana-nii walked down the stairs. "Oh! You guys are pretty exausted. Well, at least you finished your requirements." He smiled at us but we were still laying around. I stood up. "C'mon guys... Let's eat some ramen..." I said as I promised to treat them. We ate some ramen and they all thanked me before the others went home. "I'll go ahead too... goodbye, Hinata-san, Yusuke-kun.. be careful." She said bowing and smiling. "Be careful, ok?" I said worried and she nodded before she took off.

I walked home with Emma... on our way home, it was snowing... "let's hurry... it's gonna be cold later." I said to her as she nodded. I took her hand and we ran together. When we got to the house, I was blushing for what I did...

We got home and we barged in the house. "You're cold ... hurry up and shower before you get sick." Natsu-nii told us and we did as we were told... After I showered, I changed my clothes and wore my warm slippers. I took my blanket and went to the fireplace to warm myself up... I sat on the pillow and wrapped my blanket around my body... suddenly, someone sat beside me... I looked and it was Emma... she's here to warm herself too... "mind of I join you?" She asked and smiled. Her smile was so lovely. "Sure..." I said as I blushed.

"That assignment was pretty tiring, wasn't it?" She said as she smiled to me as I blushed harder. "Oh! Yusuke-kun seems to be warm now. You're all red." She said again and wow.... I blushed really hard now, did I? Minutes later, may heat went away...

"Hey, Emma... do you think our school will be as fun as high school?... you know.. the events?" I asked her and she turned her face to look at me and smiled. "Maybe there will be some events but not as much as high school events... do you wanna dress like a butler again?" She asked smiling. "No! No! That suite looks awful and I'll never have that style in my life again." I said to her like I was panicking and she gave a small laugh which was one of the most beautiful laughs I've heard. "Why? You looked good in it." She said to me smiling sweetly. "Really?" I asked and she nodded. O should wear some tux again o our acquaintance party and the grand ball.

"Emma?" I asked facing her. I'm going to tell her that I love her. "Yes?" She asked. "I.. umm.. I wanted to tell you that I... I -uh.. uh-"... geez I was stuttering before her phone rang. "Just a second.. hello?" She said answering the phone. "Fuuto-kun?" She said and that made my blood boil.. minutes have past they were still talking. I decided to head to my bed leaving Emma behind. Gosh, I felt bad. I layed on my bed and started to think of her... Will she ever become mine... It feels like Hina was the one always showing me the good and positive sides... but Emma is just giving me What Ifs.. I don't blame her 'cause before we even became siblings, she doesn't know that I exist...

Man, I don't feel good. I feel like my nose is stuffy and I felt really warm that I'm sweating. Did I spent to much time on that fire.

It wasn't long till I fell asleep.

"Oi Yusuke? Yusuke?" I heard Tsuba-nii's voice calling me out. What did he want? I opened my eyes to see all my 12 brothers looking at me except for Fuuto. He's working.... I think. "Oi!" I panicked and I sat up immediately. Their faces were so close. "What?! What?!" I panicked. "With thay face, he doesn't look like he's sick." Suba-nii said amd went... "what? Sick? Who?" I asked confused. Azu-nii put his hand on my forehead. "You're temperature's hot... are you really sick? Or you just heated yourself up at the sauna?" He asked.. who would do that? "What're you talking about? I'm fine..." I said as I checked the time and it was now 10:04. "Classes start at 8:00 why didn't you wake me up you stupid clock!" I said pointing to my alarm. "Oh trust me, we tried... You're sick. You need to skip school." Wataru said to me.

"Here. Eat this and drink your medicine right after." Masa-nii said to me as they went out the door. "Get well, Yu-tan." Wataru said before shutting the door behind him. Am I really sick? Yeah... last night I didn't feel very good.
