Chapter 7: Assignments

Hinagiku's POV

So, we were about to go to Yusuke-kun's house. I'm with Shuno-chan, Ayako-chan, Shinosuke-kun, Tsukigawara-kun and Ametatsu-kun. We rang their doorbell and there revealed Yusuke-kun.. "hey... we've been waiting for you guys. Come in." He said to us and we entered their gate. "Wow. This place is huge.." they all said admiring the house and I could tell Yusuke-kun was getting a little pissed. "Ok... let's go inside... after you." He gestured me and opened the front door. "A-arigatou, Yusuke-kun." I said to him and just as I entered the house I saw Tsubaki-san pinning Hinata-san on the couch kissing her. My eyes widen I immediately turned off the light with my left hand and pretended that I slipped and accidentally switched off the lights. "Hina!" Yusuke-kun switched on the light and helped me up. Thank goodness Hinata-san and Tsubaki-san were not in that position anymore. I can't let Yusuke-kun see them. "Welcome... Yusuke, Ukyou Onii-chan told me to tell you to just order snacks and deliever it to you since he got a littke busy." Tsubaki-san said to Yusuk-kun. "Oh ok." Was all Yusuke-kun could say. His arms were still snaked around my body. "No. Please let me do it. It's the least I can do." Hinata-san said kindly...

"No. It's ok. You don't have to do those things... Please come in and do what you must." Hikaru-san said walking down the stairs. We walked in and sat on the couch. "Are you ok?" Yusuke-kun asked worried. I just smiled and nodded. "Gomenasai... I was looking for a thing to hold on to so I won't hit the ground but I guess the light switch didn't want to help me at all." I said to him smiling.

Yusuke's POV

"Excuse me for a second... I'm just gonna order some pizza." I said excusing myself before I walked to the kitchen and took out my iphone. I ordered some pizza and some fruitshakes. They delievered it in less than 15 minutes. I oayed the pizza guy and brought the food to the living room. We were eating while we were looking at the computer which is being used by Hina.. she was the one looking for some ideas. "Well... this is the most accurate ideaa about our project... but it's kinda tricky to write a speech that encourages people to listen... people this days doesn't care about other people thinks..." Hina said putting her left hand on her chin.

"I guess everyone have to work hard about their speech... tonight, before you guys sleep, think about one topic that interests you and other people." She said as she stood up facing us. We all nodded. They were about to go home. "Hey, I'll just walk them outside..." I said to Emma. "Ok. I'll just clean up." I blushed and I walk them to the gate. "Goodnight, Yusuke-kun." Was all Hina to me. We said our goodbyes and there they went... I wish I could walk Hina home but she's with her friends... and my friends...

I walked inside and I found out that Emma was not in the living room anymore and it was clean now. I head to the couch and waited for everyone to get home... In no time, they all were home. We watched TV while Ukyou-nii was cooking dinner. Emma, sat down beside Kana-nii and Masa-nii... "Dinner time!" Ukyou-nii called and we walked to the table... "yay! We'll have curry!!" Wataru cheered. We all ate in peace. "Yusuke, are your friends coming here again tomorrow?"

"Yeah..." I said to them.. "oh ok then... I'll be preparing some snacks for sure. "Arigatou, Ukyou-nii... I'll head to my room. Thanks for the food." I said as I head to my room. I took my towel and went to the bathroom to relax a bit in the tub. I went back to my room and blow dried my hair. I know it's weird for a guy to use it but... I gotta get my hair dry so... I layed down on my bed. I started to think about Emma... Does she like one of my brothers?

Then suddenly, I started to worry about Hinagiku... Does she know how to cook? When we were in 2nd year of high school she would end up jumping when the boiling oil pops.. She would end up burning the food because she was too scared to go near it when she has ro flip it over. I panicked and sat down. I grabbed my iphone and dialed her number. She didn't answer... I tried the second time, and she answered a few seconds later.

Y - Yusuke
H - Hinagiku

Y: o-oi! What took you so long to answer?!

H: gomenasai... I was just-agh!

Y: oi! What's going on?!

H: I was cooking and it burned!! Agh!!

Y: seriously... you can bake but you can't cook??!!!

H: agh!

Y: just turn off the heat!

H: I'm scared to go near it!

Y: that's it! I'm coming!

I hung up the phone and wore my snickers immediately. I ran downstairs... "Ukyou-nii!!!" They started to stare at me like they were startled. I guess I shouted too loud. "What's wrong?" Azu-nii asked. "I was just about ask Ukyou-nii if there are left overs so I can take it to Hina... I was just calling her when I heard popping of boiling oil and she was freaking out." I said to them. "I'll go get it right away then." Ukyou-nii said understanding me... "she knows how to bake but she doesn't knkw how to cook? She's very beautiful, smart and sexy but she's pretty useless in household chores" Fuuto said insulting her. I grabbed his collar as I got mad. "What did you say?! Don't you insult her?!" I said to him... "Yusuke, let go of him before I knock you head." Tsuba-nii warned me and I did as he says.

"Fuuto.. don't you insult other people and look at yourself in the mirror. You're popular and talented but you're pretty useless with Household chores too... and Yusuke that's not how you teach your brother a lesson." Suba-nii told us... "Wow... she knows that she can't cook but she stilk tried. I wonder why..." Iori-nii wondered with his hand on his chin. "I'll teach her some dishes next time..." Emma said to me. "Arigatou." I said. "Here you go. Be back early and be careful." Says Ukyou-nii and Masa-nii... "Arigatou..." I ran as fast as I could to Hinagiku's house. I knocked on the door but no one was answering. I tried to see if it was open and it was so I just barged in. Her house was full of black smoke and I swear I could feel the smoke in my throat so I choked. I ran to the kitchen amd saw her there. I immediately turned off the gas... I was still choking so I bowed and rested my palms on my knees while holding the food. "Yusuke-kun... sorry for troubling you. I was about to turn it off but-" I cut her off by putting my hand on her shoulder. "It's ok... but what's unacceptable is... IT TOOK ME 15 MINUTES TO GET HERE AND YOU STILL HAVEN'T TURN IT OFF!!!! (Imagine their funny faces like the chibi ones.)

"Gomenasai...." she said scared. I sighed... "here.. eat this." I handed her the food. "Arigatou, Yusuke-kun... You really are a good guy." She said and sat on the seat next to the table. I opened the windows and started to move the big fan up and down to make all the smoke and burned smell go away... I heard Hinagiku laugh while she was eating... "What???" I asked as I continhed to move the fan. "Nothing... I'm just happy." That's what she said. The smoke and smell wenr away so I closed the windows so insects won't come in. I threw all the burned food away amd washed the utensils she used. As I was finished, I sat opposite her. "Wow! Ukyou-sans cooking is one of the best!" She said squealing...

"Seriously, how can you eat when you don't know how to cook?" I asked her. "My friends would visit sometimes and give me one of their moms' dishes... but sometimes I would just but instant ramen for dinner, I'll buy food at school for lunch and cereal for breakfast." She said before takin in the last spoonfull and drinking water. She washed the box and she gave it back to me... "Can you say thank you for everyone for me... Especially, Yusuke-kun.. he always worry about me." She smiled so beautifully... I could feel the blood rushing to my face but I stopped it from mentally slapping myself violently. "Yusuke-kun?..."

"Ah! You better go to bed! It's late and we have to do our homeworks tomorrow..." I said to her... "oh.. ok.." she said. "Go... I won't leave your side until you fall asleep." I said. "No! Please go home, Yusuke-kun.. It's late and your brothers might be wor-" I cut her off. "I insist."

So yeah.. I sat beside her bed and waited untik she fell asleep. As soon as she did, I stood up and covered her body with the blanket. "Oyasumi.... silly girl." I said before leaving and went home.
