Silent tears stream down my face as I remember the pain, the fear. Levi must have noticed that I was crying because he said my name quietly. I could hardly hear his voice through my echoing memories. I return to reality as warm arms wrap around me. I hug Levi closer to me as I cry into his shoulder, soaking his shirt with my tears. He rests his chin on my head and whispers calming words in my ear. When I have no tears left, I raise my head from his shoulder and rub my eyes, clearing them of the salty water.

“You okay?” Levi asks. I nod, not trusting my hoarse voice to talk.

“Levi what is going on?!” Erwin exclaims. I once again notice that everyone is gawking at me. Must look strange, I just broke down into tears and cried into Levi's shoulder. I brighten up a bit at how odd that must of looked. When Levi knows I’m not about to start bawling my eyes out again, he turns to the crowd.

“A few months ago, the Brat and I were kidnapped by my uncle and his father. You never knew because I said that we had gone for another experiment and got delayed by a storm on the way back. Eren’s father wanted to do testing on his titan abilities, and I was just further leverage. When I disobeyed their orders and tried to escape, they tortured Eren because of me. Just before they got around to torturing me I managed to escape with the Brat, and returned to the castle during the huge storm. I bandaged Eren up and left him to sleep in his room under the guise of exhaustion from the experiment,” Levi explained.

“Why was your uncle involved?” Hanji asks.

“Levi’s uncle is the only one who stands a chance against Levi in a fight, so he was the only person capable of bringing us both in. If we were fighting against just him we could have won, but because he had hired and trained people to work for him, we didn’t stand a chance. All he cares about is the money he will receive when he finishes a ‘job', ” Eren says sadly.

“Why wasn’t I told about all this?” Erwin questions in a demanding voice.

“Didn’t seem important, and there was no harm in you not knowing... until now,” Levi replies darkly.

“What do you mean ‘until now’?” Connie asks from the crowd.

“I mean what I said Springer, they’ve started threatening everyone... the whole Survey Corps,”  there is only silence after Levi’s comment. Slowly people start to disperse from the crowd and head back to their rooms to prepare for training.

Erwin says we are all safe, for who could win in a fight against the Survey Corps?
