                         Chapter 7

                       Josiah's POV

 I was in the interrogation room and the detectives were asking me questions.

"You were the last one to see her, you say. So what exactly did you see?" asked the first detective

"I at first heard a scream and I looked around, I then saw a back exit so I opened the door and I saw someone, I couldn't tell who because they were facing away from me, but I saw him holding Madison and saw him throw her in the back of a black van." I said

After the detectives wrote those things down, "What else did you see?" asked the second detective

"I saw a woman and man lying on the ground the man had a bullet hole in  the back of his head, and when I rushed over to the woman she had a slit throat." I said

"ok so why do you think Madison didn't try to get away?" asked the first detective

"I told you I heard a scream." I said impatiently. I was thinking to myself, 'why are they not out there looking for her, why are they here interrogating me?'

After 2 hours of interrogating I left the police station, feeling more put out then ever.

The police officers weren't doing anything. If they won't do anything then I will.

My bestfriend Dayln met up with me after I called him and told him what was going on.

"Come on Dayln we are going to go look for them." I said in a determined voice

"But shouldn't we let the cops do that?" Asked Dayln

"If it were Maranda wouldn't you go look for her?" I asked him, already knowing that I had won the argument

"Of course I would." Said Dayln more to himself

"Then will you help me or not?" I asked impatiently. We need to hurry up, time is running out.

"I guess, if you think it will help." He said hesitantly making me frown

"Look if tou don't want to help, then don't." I snapped at him. What kind of 'bestfriend' didn't want to help?

"No, no, I'll help." He said hurridly, giving me a small smile

"Maybe we will find her but, maybe we won't, but it cant get any worse." I mumbled to myself

"Well where do we start?" Asked Dayln stonely. His face suprisingly shielded usually you can read Dayln easily, but I thought nothing of it my mind is to busy being occupied by other stuff than Dayln's weirdness.

"At her house, maybe we will find something there." I stated

"Ok whatever you say." said Dayln submissively

After driving to Madison's house he knocked on the door

"Yes? Oh, its you Josiah come on in." said Mrs.Brook AKA Madison's Mom

I noticed that Mrs.Brook had unshed tears in her eyes. I also noticed the bags under her eyes, revealing she hadn't slept in a while

"Umm, yes Mrs.Brook we just wanted to check out Madison's room in case she left something." I said

"Oh, go right ahead, but the police have already been here." she said with undeniable sorrow lacing her voice

"Ok thank you." said Dayln politely

Heading up the stairs, I walked over to Madison's room. Her door was left open a crack.

Bracing myself, I pushed open the door.

Photos of me and her hung up on her wall. I started to shake. The overwhelming feeling of loss hit me like a ton of bricks.

Dayln must've noticed, because he put a hand on my shoulder in a reasurring way.

"There is nothing here Josiah." said Dayln with a bored tone

it has been 3 hours of absolutely nothing, we searched and searched, but nothing of value came up

"Let's just go home I guess." I said with unshed tears in my eyes

"It's okay, we will find her." said Dayln while putting his hand once again on my shoulder

Turning away from her room, I fought against the urge to turn back around and search her room some more.

Leaving Madison's house, not matter how hard I tried, I couldn't shake the overwhelming feeling...that I missed something.

              Oooooh so they didn't find anything at her house, do you think that they will find her before it's too late? I hope you all enjoy this story.
