You opened your eyes to see the hospital room you'd been seeing for the past two weeks. "Ugh, when do I get out, anyway?"
The nurse came in and gave you some water and some hospital food. After you'd finished, she looked you over, then said, "All right. We'll get you dismissed."
You smiled happily and soon found yourself in the lobby, where Seto was waiting. He swept you up in a hug and whispered. "Hello, Y/n. Ready to go?"
"Yes, Seto. Let's get out of here."
Both of you climbed into Seto's limo and went back to the mansion. Mokuba was there, as was Yugi. They hugged you happily, laughing. You noted that Yugi hugged you tighter than Mokuba had, though.
Seto led you to a guest room and got out some pajamas and towels. He waited outside until you were dressed, then tucked you in. "Get some rest, all right? It's been a very exciting month."
You nodded and leaned up to kiss him gently. "Stay with me?"
He cuddled under the covers with you, holding you gently, like you were a fragile doll he didn't want to break. You smiled and the touch and buried your face in his shirt.
"I love you, Seto," you whispered, listening to his heartbeat.
"And I you, Y/n."
"Y/n......" a voice called out.
You turned to see who it was. "Who's there?" you called, frightened.
"Just an old friend." The voice was deep and scary, yet you knew you'd heard it somewhere.
You gasped. "Ba-"
A hand covered your mouth. "My bidding. It was what you did in your past life, and what you will do now."
Fog began to cloud your mind as you sunk to the ground. "No....."
"Bound to me by your foolish father. Oh well, even little girls must grow up sometime."
The voice's face appeared. You stared up into the face of your master in your past life.
Akefia.
But he'd changed. His skin was no longer tan, but pale and with no scar. He wore a blue-and-white striped shirt and jeans. His hair was lighter as well.
"Akefia, that's right. Only now I am known as.....Bakura."
You trembled as he laid a hand on your head. "The thief king and his slave will rule the world again. I want you to start by......"
The fog completely covered your mind as you looked up and whispered, "Yes, master?"
"Killing Seto Kaiba."
Without hesitation, you nodded. "When?"
"I'll give you time. Time to prepare. Leave his mansion and devise a plot."
You stood and turned to go. "As you wish, my king."
Seto's POV:
I wake up around seven a.m. and turn to where Y/n should be.
She's gone.
Alarms go off in my head. The shower's not on and her clothes are still neatly folded by the door.
"Yugi! Mokuba!"
The whole staff is on alert, looking for her.
It's too slow. She's nowhere in the mansion or on the grounds.
I come up with two possible explanations. Either she was kidnapped or she left for some reason. But in a nightgown? The kidnapping is more likely.
Even I am in a frenzy today, scouring every last secret place.
Then, I find out neither scenario is true. I'm walking past the fish pond when I feel air move behind me.
Y/n is right there.
Her beautiful e/c eyes are clouded over.
And she's pointing a dagger at my throat.
It had to be done.
I'm sorry.
Not.
But what I am sorry for is not updating. I got so many request to do this chapter but I've been so busy it slipped my mind. This idea actually came to me in a brilliant stroke of luck when I came across the ending of the fifth Harry Potter book. No spoilers!
Kaiba! Disclaimer!
Seto: Aly doesn't own Yu-Gi-Oh. Unfortunately.
Aly: Just because I'm your son's girlfriend does not mean I would write you a plotline where you beat Yugi.
