Shikamaru x Reader

Third Person Pov.

Shikamaru was currently playing a game of shogi with Asuma. He was, of course, winning. It was silent for a while before Asuma decided to break the silence. "So Shikamaru," he said, "What's with you and (y/n)? Do you like her or something?" Shikamaru sighed, "Yeah, I do, but she doesn't feel the same. What a drag." Asuma shook his head at him while continuing the game. Asuma asked Shikamaru, "Well, have you asked her?" A simple no was his reply. So Asuma also told him, "Then you can't say that she doesn't feel the same way, she might." A know was heard near the open door. It was (y/n). She said to them, "Hello Asuma Sensei, and hello shika-chan." Shikamaru didn't not turn around, but Asuma gave him a look. (Y/n) spoke again, "Oh Shika-chan, I forget to tell you something." He turned towards her, avoiding eye contact with her. She kneeled down next to him. Asuma got up and told the two of them, "I have to go do something, I'll be back." Once he left (y/n) said to Shikamaru, "I do happen to have a crush on you also." He blushed slightly and put his arm around you. He mumbled what a drag. You leaned into him, resting your head on his shoulder. He looked down at you and smiled slightly. He said to you, "So, maybe, we could go on a date later." You smiled and replied, "Yes, I would like that." Shikamaru looked at you, and you did the same to him. He swiftly, but gently, captured you lips in a kiss. It was a short, sweet kiss. Little did you know, Asuma came back and saw you two kiss. He smiled to himself.
