Two Weeks Before

In the center of a well lit room, stood seven young men, who all loved the same thing, music. They stood on the wooden floor as if they owned the place and didn't care if their shoes scraped the wood. Each of them were different in appearance, background, and character. They all wanted something different and were in need of different things.

The young men had a sense of popularity at school. If they were to disappear, others would notice. Their music made them popular, their dances made them special, and their appearances made them irresistible. Most of all, people around school barely knew them personally. Their mysteriousness made them wanted.

Jimin had the natural ability to flip his hair and swoon the ladies, even if the shade of it was bright pink.

Taehyung had a rectangular smile that crushed the hearts of many who saw it.

Namjoon's intelligence made him the most wanted tutor in school.

Yoongi had the charisma to side track any group of girls that walked by them.

Hoseok's bright personality made everyone in the room feel lighter, as if he took the burden off everyone's shoulders.

Jungkook's baby face made the young girls in school feel the need to nurture and see through the health of the group.

Jin on the other hand, was rarely noticed, but he continued to smile and be cheerful. As the oldest in the group, he took care of the young men the best he could.

That day, two weeks before the accidents, happiness spread across the group. They felt like a family.

Jungkook stood in front of the mirror and practiced one particular piece of the dance. His efforts to perfect the move did not go unnoticed by Hoseok, the best dancer in the group.

Hoseok made his way over to Jungkook and asked him, "you need help, kiddo?"

The younger one replied, "no, I'm fine. I'll take care of this myself." At this, Hoseok walked away and left Jungkook alone to figure out the move. He made his way over to Jimin who seemed to be staring off into space in the corner of the room.

"Want to talk about anything, Jimin?" Hoseok asked the pink haired boy. Jimin looked over to Hoseok and smiled widely. His eyes turned to slits and almost disappeared into his face. Still, his exuberant, white smile lit up the room.

"I'm all good, Hoseok. Just thinking about that math test. It's a little scary," Jimin said with the smile on his face.

Hoseok put his hand on the younger one's shoulder and said, "well, if you need a tutor, don't be afraid to ask Namjoon."

"Thanks, I won't."

Namjoon heard his name called from the opposite corner of the room as Taehyung spoke to him. He turned his head over his shoulder to see who spoke his name. Nobody seemed to need him at the moment, so he continued speaking with Taehyung.

"Namjoon, I don't think I can take it anymore. These stupid habits are killing me on the inside and they hurt, too!" Taehyung spoke quickly and quietly so that others would not hear the conversation. "Try rolling your neck as many times as I do and see if you get fed up with it."

"Tae, I'm sure you're going to be fine," Namjoon said in attempts to calm his young friend. "Plenty of people deal with this sort of thing all over the world. It's not as if your life will end because of it."

"What if it does? What if I really can't take it anymore?"

Yoongi walked over to the two. "Hey," he said, placing each hand on their shoulder's. "Is something wrong? You look a little panicked Tae."

Taehyung narrowed his eyes at Yoongi, then narrowed them at Namjoon. They shot straight through the older boys pupils and made them shiver. "Don't worry about me," he mumbled before he walked away.

Jin was the only one by himself, as usual. He was in the group, but he didn't have any close friends in the group the way the others did. Jin kept the boys on schedule during practice, or worked by himself in the back of the room. He never seemed to be interested in the others conversations and only seemed to be there for them when asked to be, which was never.

When he noticed that things began to boil in the room, he turned to the main stereo and hit the play button, not choosing a song in particular to play. Then, the song erupted into the room and all the boys turned to look at Jin. An excited gleam spread across all of their faces. Then, they stepped into the center of the room and stood in place. A second later, a major beat dropped and the boys jumped into a dance they created together. All seven moved in sync. They were balanced equally and had their own special parts where they shined.

All sad or angry feelings dispersed into thin air. The feeling of happiness shined the greatest as soon as the song came on. It could not be ignored. The feeling is something they all have in common. A common rhythm thuds in their hearts and ends in their toes and fingers. Wherever music exists, joy appears along with it.

If only the boys knew that the never ending joyful feeling would soon be gone. For terror comes later tonight for every single one of them and they will be torn apart before the next day can come. They will be as broken as a fallen vase. A vase that is impossible to repair, or is it?
