It was 7pm when Dan waltzed in. I could've been mad. But instead, I smiled.
"Sorry babe, traffic" was all he said.
Most people would've been annoyed that he hasn't texted to say he was going to be late, but I was just relieved he was okay.
The next thing I knew, Dan was sat next me, head on my shoulder and flicking through the tv channels to find something to watch.
It was moments like this that I cherished the most. The simple ones. The ones most people took for granted.

My thoughts were interrupted as I realised I'd missed what Dan had said.
"Sorry, what did you say?"
"Do you want to get a takeaway?" He laughed, probably because it was the 3rd time he'd said it
"Oh. Yeah I'd love one" I smiled as I responded
