Chapter 2 - Suspension

KEVIN VALDERAMA SIDE.

"Mga bata naman, bakit ba kasi first day of school, eh kailangan ninyong magdate, that may let you be late to your classes?" tanong ng guidance counselor.

Unfortunately, hindi ko alam kung bakit dito kami dinala ni Miss. Wun. I recognized our teacher by her Teacher's ID. Nasa guidance office kami, at pinipilit nila na nagdate kami ni Kianna, even if the truth is we just taked a break together at the canteen. Hindi lang siguro namin talaga namalayan na tumunog na yung bell dahil nga napasarap kami sa kwentuhan.

"Does the two of you are aware that this is the first day of school. But you're already doing thing such as dating." Pagsingit ni Miss Wun. "Dahil sa mga kalandian niyong iyan, nalilate kayo sa klase ko. Being late in my class is one of the worse thing, my student should have done."

The word KALANDIAN....

"Kalandian?" tanong ni Kianna. "Maam, hindi po ako malandi, hindi rin malandi si Kev. Wala kaming kalandian, hindi kami naglalandian. Ma'am, hanggang kailan ba namin sasabihin ang katotohanang wala kaming relasyon? Kailan niyo ba kami paniniwalaan? Eh sa totoo nga, kakakilalal lang namin lately." Kianna insisted, saying it with a loud tone of voice.

"Are you shouting on me, Miss Kianna Delacruz?" Miss Wun looks like got mad.

"Ma'am, im sorry but should I inform you that shouting is a lot diffirent from talking with just a loud tone?" –Kianna.

"You're unrespectful, Miss Delacruz. It's the first day of school, so do you want me to call your father to talk and discuss with us on these things?" –Ma'am Wun.

"Then call him. As if you know him? As if you got his phone number?" –Kianna.

"Miss Delacruz, it's easy for me to get your dad's phone." –Ma'am Wun.

"Then call him, let's see if he's going to waste his time talking to a teacher who talks about nonsense things. Let me tell you something in advance." Kianna stood up. "My dad is super busy with his work. He can't give time even to his daughter. So if I were you, I will not waste my time just to call my dad." Tumingin naman siya sa Guidance Counselor at nagsalita. "Ma'am if you have something to do with me, if you want to punish me, let me clean the whole gym, or even suspend me for one week or one month or even one year, I will warmly accept it with my whole heart. I have to go." Kianna leaved.

She's cool.

"Uhm. Miss Counselor and Miss Wun, were really really sorry. Hindi po talaga kami nagdate ni Kianna. If you will excuse, I have to go." Umalis na ako. Sinundan ko si Kianna ngunit naglaho na siya sa paningin ko kaya't nagtungo nalang ako sa school's rooftop since walang masyadong pumupunta roon at palagi ko iyong tambayan. First day of school, tatambay kaagad ako.

Umaakyat ako sa hagdan patungong rooftop at kinuha ko ang phone ko saka nagpasak ng earphones at muling nakinig sa musics ni ed Sheeran. I played the song Save myself by him.

Narating ko na ang pinto sa rooftop at pagbukas ko ay nadatnan ko ang isang babae na pamilyar sa akin. Nakatingin lang siya sa ibaba mula rito sa rooftop. Unti-unti akong lumapit sa kanya at tumabi sa kanya. Itinuon ko rin ang aking tingin sa ibaba. Kung saan maraming nagsisilakarang mga estudyante at abala sa kani-kanilang mga nais sa buhay.

"Pasensya na sa inasal ko kanina ha. Hindi ko lang talaga mapigilan ang sarili ko." Pagpapaumanhin niya. "Hindi ko lang kasi talaga matiis. Nakakabadtrip talaga kasi eh. First day palang, im already on trouble." Napatawa siya ng mapakla. "But don't mind me."
