“What are you doing here!?”

I looked the person stood in front of me up and down, analyzing every little detail. The worn jeans I had seen so many times, the tanned arms that held me close, and the hands, rough but so soft at the same time. I couldn’t bear to look him in the eyes – my ex that is. Things hadn’t really ended well between us. Truth is, I broke up with him, Blake. I blamed it on wanting to be single for a while but awe both knew it was to be with Justin. I love loved him but my feelings were just not as strong as they were for the other special guy in my life. I thought he was the love of my life! HA. But what was I to know? We were only fifteen when we met and hardly knew what love really meant – I do now, but Blake obviously doesn’t.

“Come on. You are coming with me.”

“If you think I am going with you, then you can think again!” Blake was so over protective, and it definitely was not a good thing. This isn’t the first time he has shown up out of the blue…

“You can’t stay here any longer with him. You were, still are my girlfriend! Mine!” He grabbed my wrist and tried to pull me out of the room, his eyes were crazy, and he wasn’t the same person anymore. I clung on to the nearest object and shouted for help. Can’t I just have one day without drama?

“Get off me! You’re hurting my wrist! JUSTIN! HELP!” I kept on pulling away but that only made it worse and Blake gripped on harder. Ugh, why did he have to be so strong!? I was loosing my grip on the chest of drawers and was slowing edging out the door. I don’t know why he has to react in this way. We broke up months ago and I never, ever cheated; I loved Justin but I wanted to end things with Blake before we went anywhere. Anything else would’ve been wrong.

It was just my luck to get the creepy, stalker ex-boyfriend.

The bathroom door opened and Justin came running out, wearing only a towel. His face turned red as he saw what was going on, you could almost see the steam exploding out of his ears. His whole body tensed up and his fingers curled under, I could see just what was going to happen next. Justin leaped forward and landed a punch right on Blake’s nose, in effect making him let go of me. Grabbing my opportunity I kicked him, in the only place it would really hurt. He crippled, landing on the floor in a heavy heap, blood seeping from his nose as Justin ran towards me and held me in his arms. I started sobbing. I just couldn’t control myself. I didn’t want to cry but there was something inside me, a higher power that was just taking over my body. Our bodies still entwined, we too fell to the floor, rocking back and forth.

After what seemed like forever, but really two minutes, Justin got up and ran quickly to the bathroom. A few seconds later he came back in, hopping into his jeans.

“Thanks Justin. That was pretty scary for a second there.”

“You know I got your back, you’re my girl!” He winked at me and grabbed his phone from the bed-side table. “Now, let’s call security, get this prick thrown out and all this shit sorted.”

Once again my boy had saved me, but how many times will he have to do it? All the ‘issues’ with Blake really need sorting, now
