I sat down thinking about Ronin. I didn't know what to do. I love him and want to be with him, but I wasn't sure that was what was best for him or me, most especially me. I thought back to everything I know about him and his mafia empire. The people are ruthless and their leader isn't any better, but when they all show you that their sweet side you can't help but love them. I heard a knock, I thought it was going to be Roman but it wasn't. It was a guy I have never seen before. I was about to ask who it was when it dawned on me, that hard look in his face, that dressing, and I looked down to see his gun. I tried to slam the door but he stopped it with a foot and I ran towards my bedroom. He grabbed me and I tried fighting him off. I threw things at him and struggled to get out of his hold. He let me go after I knocked a ceramic vase on his head and i rushed to my room, locking the door behind me and pushing the shelve against it. I searched for my phone. I was afraid, really afraid. I could barely breathe. My lungs tightened with fear and my body shook as it slowly started to go numb. Since I got married to Ronin, I haven't been in danger of any kind, except that one time kidnapping scenario. Roman had always warned me but because I have never had the experience, I never really took him seriously. I heard the guy kick the door repeatedly. I called Ronin's number and he picked up on the first ring "Angel" he said in a cool and soothing voice "Ronin, there is someone here, he has a gun and I am scared" I spoke at an incredible speed "Sweetheart, calm down, everything would be okay" he said, I don't know how I was supposed to follow that order considering the fact that the intruder would be done with whatever he was up to before Ronin even got here. I curled under the bed, and with every kick to the door, the shelve moved an inch, and with every inch, I flinched and with every flinch I knew I was closer to my doom, and all of a sudden, there was silence. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know for how long I was under that bed but I saw a smiling face pop up "There you are love" I couldn't have been more happy to see my husband. He reached out for me and I gave him my hand before helping me out from my hide out. To my surprise, everything has been put back in order, the only people in the apartment were Ronin and I "don't worry, the things you broke would be replaced in an hour or two" he said pulling me against his chest "How did you get here so fast?!" I asked "you don't really think i would leave you unprotected now do you love?!" he replied kissing my hair "Although, those guarding you would surely answer to me, I just need to know how that guy slipped past them" he added, I couldn't say anything, I just wanted to be in his arms, feeling his warmth seep through my skin, and his chest vibrate with every speech, and maybe he should say something to me in one of those languages I don't understand. I learnt that Ronin speaks nine languages, english not included. He speaks french, spanish, latin, italian, russian, arabic, portuguese, german, greek, "I was so scared Ronin, I was scared of leaving you" I told him as he sat me down on the sofa and placed my head against his shoulder "Which is why you are coming with me this moment love, I can't let you risk your life by letting you stay here any longer, hold on a minute" he said as his phone rang. His eyes suddenly went cold "I have something I have to take care of love, I would have one of my men take you home, are you okay with that?!" he asked and I nodded. He stood up, kissed me on the forehead and left, only for another guy to come in. I recognized him to be peatrix's boyfriend, I guess his face is hardly forgettable considering the grounds on which I met him. "I am going to go pack my things okay, then we can leave" I said to him and he nodded. I went to my room and packed my clothes then put the room in order before making a call to Jorge to tell him I was leaving. He asked if everything was okay and I told him everything was fine, that I just missed my husband and that was all.

"Oh my God, its so good to have you back" Matilda said immediately I walked through the doors of my home. My home, it has a nice ring to it. "If you ever do that again, I would hunt you down myself" Grace said, they all greeted me with so much enthusiasm, even Amelia hugged me. "Am back now ain't i?!" "And better stay" Bianca added. "Am sorry guys, I was just thinking about myself, and nobody else, it was just too much for me at the moment, I needed a break" "I know Ronin can be a handful sometimes, I raised him, but you are really good for him, and he has already warmed up to you" she said "Um where is Roman?!" I asked "He is mad at you, really mad" Grace said without making any eye contact, I can only imagine, he didn't call me for once while I was away, and it is very much unlike him, and I didn't even think about it, so I never noticed. "He is out" Edith said and I nodded sadly, I would call him immediately I get to the room where Jeff was waiting for me "He would be back tonight though" Grace said. I was guessing he wasn't supposed to be back but she would make sure of it with whatever hold she has over him. "Okay, just let me know when he gets here" I made my way to my room, it feels good to be back here, with everyone. I opened the door to Ronin and I's room, it smell so much of him. The bed was well made and the curtains were down. I went ahead and laid on the cloud soft bed, enjoying the familiar feeling of it all. I know I haven't been gone long but I just missed it all. The feeling of being safe again washed over me. I know Ronin would keep me safe no matter what.
